I have 4 GB pendrive. I made this bootable for setting up linux os. But after making it bootable I am trying to format it but I couldn't. So, I can not use my pendrive. Please show me the way to format it. thank you.

I want to know the advantages of SATA port over PATA.

I have an old hard drive which is not used for about a year. When I tried to recover the files in that drive I'm surprised that there is no file stored. Can I recover the files just using the CMD? I am planning to make that drive as slave.

I am running out of disk space in my desktop computer and I am thinking of adding a new hard drive to it. However, I am having a second thought whether to buy a new hard drive or just buy USB drive. Which would be better off? I heard that USBs can hold more files and are faster in transferring files, but hard drives outperforms them in terms of I/O performance. 

Since i had installed Lime wire, my hard Disk becomes slowly and my computer makes a strange noise.

I think that my computer has a problem, because it makes this noise all the time.

Its that noise from the processor or from my hard disk ?

I want to hide my hard drive from other user of this computer. How can I hide and lock the hard drives on my PC? I don't intend to hide the whole content of my computer, just the hard drive partition. How can I do it with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7?

If hard drive is affected by a virus then it needs to be formatted in extreme cases but after formatting when I re-install the OS and partition it, I have lost some memory space though it is negligible.

It’s an easy process to save any document onto a hard disk and delete it when I want. I have some files which are not needed for me right now. I want to delete it but it cannot be deleted and sends a message like below:

Error Deleting File or Folder

Cannot delete ALL FONT DISPLAY.ai: It is being used by another person or program.

Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.
