External hard disk has become a mandatory requirement today, Because the capacity of my hard disk is already full, then, I tried to defrag my external hard disk. But after I de-fragmented the hard disk's external cable, the cable had ripped its own damaged and broken connections.

My question is, is it common to have a missing data after the incident? Since a lot of data were inside the disk, I need to recover those data.

What do you think will help me solve this problem?

Beginning of 2010, I bought a computer hard drive.

Specifications:

Brand: Seagate

Capacity: 320 GB After a few months of use, the hard drive is still in good condition.

Mid-2010

When I wanted to clean up my computer I decided to dismantle the hard drive. While I was disassembling the hard drive, suddenly, there was smoke coming from the bottom of the hard drive. I am very confused because I do not understand how to repair electronic items, including the hard drive.

Can anyone please give me a solution?

Hello people,

I hope you guys can help me about my computer. We have an old computer with very low specifications. The computer was still working yesterday and my brother was still able to play a game using it. But this morning, when I tried to turn it on, it cannot display any picture on the screen and I can hear a "beep" "beep" sound on the CPU.

Can anyone please help me?

Hello,

I am looking for a way to turn my spare internal 3.5 inch hard drive into external ones. I have heard that an enclosure is one way to do this, but I don't know much about them. I am looking for some help with regards to this.

These are the things that I expect the device to do:

1) Support Both IDE and SATA Internal Hard drives
2) Connect through USB
3) Support Large Capacity Hard Drives (At Least 1 TB)
4) Works with 3.5 inch internal hard drives

Thanks!

I caught this error 0x7A. I have never seen it but when I tried to look for it, it was defined on the list. However, it was skipped (obviously on purpose). And I wonder what does this mean? Here's my code below:
DeviceIoControl(hFile,IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_LAYOUT,NULL,0,&dli,sizeof(dli),&dwWr,NULL);

I have an external hard disk called "Passport ". But every time I try to connect it in my laptop, I can't access it although it is being detected. I mean, the icon for a new device is displayed, but when I opened a new window, I can't 'see it anymore.  Also, the software can't be installed in my laptop every time I connect it.

How do i deal with this?
