Ever since I upgraded to Windows 8,  I'm having issues with my generic usb sd reader device.  It won't read the card that I insert.  Hardware Wizard keeps on popping up.  Worked perfectly fine on Windows 7.  Do I have to update the driver of my generic usb sd reader device?

I would like to donate my old computer to charity but would like to format the HD first. My HD is a Seagate Barracuda 160 GB SATA. Can I permanently wipe out all the files with a hard drive formatter military standard software? Any good one out there?

I don't know whether you guys have heard about VCRs. VCRs were played in a VCR (Video cassette records) players and were used to record and play video on TV, before the CD, VCD, DVD generation. Some people I spoke to had heard of these, but didn't know how to help my problem.

My dad has many oldies (classic songs and movies) in VCRs. He asked me whether I could put them into a DVD. I know how to create DVDs, but the only problem is how to connect the VCR player to my PC and to transport the video (VCR) to the hard disk.
