My battery of Compaq laptop is not giving backup more than one hour when I have set the power plan to very low.

Can anyone help to improvise the power backup?

In my desktop I have a floppy drive which is not being used anymore. But it is creating problems when I boot my PC.

Please tell me the to disable the floppy drive?

Guys.. I am using Seagate HD. Whenever I installed Windows, few weeks it starts malfunctioning. My friend told be it might be because of bad sectors. I wanted to remove bad sectors from it. Can anyone help me out.
