Why the performance of the branded desktops (company assembled) are more better than non branded desktops (local assembled)? For example when we look at the branded desktops, they are high in performance. Branded desktops have fast processing speed. But non branded computers do not show such a high performance

Hi to al,
I've had my desktop computer for about one year now. It is an Asus. In Last day afternoon, it was going a bit slow so I decided to restart it. However, once it turned off, it will no longer turn on and boot up.
The power button usually lights up, but now it does not. But, the decorative words "Asus" at the bottom of the tower still lights up. The DVD drive still opens, and a few lights blink on start up as usual.
Please give me some advice about this problem
Thanks,
Blackjan

I have this problem with the fans inside the cpu. Just lately when I did a shutdown of my computer and the monitor did shut down and so was the computers’ led lights, I notice there was still some sound coming from inside the computer and when I opened up the case, I found out that the CPU fan and the case fans were still running although the computer was already turned off.
The PSU fan was not running yet both the case and cpu fans were still turning!! I tried waiting for it to turn off by its own but it went on for more than 15 minutes. I had to unplug the power cord then tried again the whole process if it will occur but the fans won’t still die down. I had an extra power supply, changed it yet still the same.

Just want to ask if the processor pins are bent- can it be fixed? I have a Gigabyte G31 motherboard that was borrowed by my cousin, and when he returned it, it wouldn’t run anymore. i tried swapping out good known CPU but still the same.
There is power to the board but if I try connecting the power cord for the processor nothing happens. So i tried checking the pins, and a few were bent. So is there anyway to fix this? Or should i get a new mobo or processor?
Thanks!

I would like to record AND edit audio on my old cassette tapes. I have dozens of tapes that I need to burn onto CDs or DVDs. But I also want to edit them first and combine some audio from different tapes. I consider these tapes rare and I need these to be transferred into more durable media like compact discs.
I have a built-in sound card and I do not know how to go about it. I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed and is running smoothly. Any suggestions?

My A4tech webcam display is all black. The lens covering is already down. Is my webcam failing on me?
I don’t understand since I have just used this webcam a few hours ago and it’s been working perfectly.
Now, when I try to take a picture all it shows is a black window nothing else.
Is it a loose connection or maybe some virus disrupting the display?
I have tried to scan my files for viruses (I have Norton), but it comes clean. Is there a way to fix it?
I have already restarted my CPU many times hoping it will fix it, but still it remains.

BIOS reading of 12v is only 11.5v. Is it a cause for concern?
My computer seems to be working normally though, I didn't notice anything 'different' from its performance.
But is a reading of 11.5v quite low knowing that it is supposed to be 12v?
Will it do some damage to my computer somehow?
Or is it negligible and not a need to worry?
