SOS message for the technical experts.

I am unable to use almost any program in my computer. Whenever I try to run the program a hard disk error occurred stating that my hard disk is doing some thing wrong with the program

The actual error appear is

Windows detected a hard drive problem.

A hard drive error occurred while starting the application.

I am unable to take backup as even normal pc operation becomes impossible on that computer. I have very important data on that pc so I want to save it before proceeding for installation of os or something else.

Can you guys give me a hint and guide on how to disable the Hibernate option?

My laptop is Windows Vista operating system and the reason why i want to disable the Hibernate is for some unreasonable matter but it can irritates me especially when I'm on a rush to shut down the computer Instead I hit the Hibernate and it takes a long period of time before it gets back to the Window.

I am not often using Hibernate option so for me it's a waste of time.

And i think Hibernate is not really an important function so better to disable it.

My computer is Hewlett-Packard with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.

I used this computer for 5 years now. My problem is the F11 function key is not functioning.

F11 of HP computer Windows Vista is Restore Factory Setting's option.

I use this key whenever I restore all the programs to its default settings,and if the Antivirus is out of date especially if my Internet connection will cut off. 

When I press the F11 key action it will not work. No action has been done in short.

Can you guys help me where to find the option key to be able the F11 key will function?

Help on my Toshiba Satellite A200 Notebook Charger Adapter. I was working for two consecutive days. But it doesn't mean, I am using this notebook for the whole time, but surely most of the time. Yesterday, when I am about to start on my researches, I have connected the cord of my charger to its base adaptor then plugged it on the wall. My laptop was currently running at that time,

My motherboard is INTEL Desktop D865PERL and my video card is GeForce 5200FX.

I have Hewlett-Packard laptop computer at home. Whenever I hit the shut down button there's no action has been done.

I've waited 30 minutes to make sure that the action will occur but still it doesn't work. What I did was to pulled out the battery in order to shut down.

As well as the restart button did not responding. I wonder that my computer is really at risk but my computer has display and work well only the restart and shut down button is not responding whenever I do the actions.

Do you think my computer has a defect?

Hey there. I just recently bought a second hand computer that was supposed to be disposed of one of our neighbors, but then I decided to buy it. They said it has some minor issues, and in addition, they really want to buy a new one instead. I heard it was just assembled, but who cares?

As long as it will not cost me much, that’s perfectly fine. Now, I am getting this IDE not detected error in the computer. I do not want to touch anything yet as I am scared I might mess up. Anyhow, if somebody can let me know what seems to be the problem, I’d be glad to know. I would like to lists of things I can check on my computer to fix this.

This problem started when I finished installing the Yahoo Messenger. When the installation finish the icons are being changed?!

When I restart the computer the icon still the same in format. I uninstalled the Yahoo Messenger still the icons remain invalid as you have seen the image above. When I open the icon it normally functions only the icon has been changed in format.

Guys can you help me how the icons be back in normal format? It only seen as a box.

I have a HP printer that is shared on a desktop and is being used by almost three to four other persons. Lately the printer has been acting strange. The problem is that the printer retains the last printout before it is taken off and the next time it is placed on it prints it out. So for example, if i print a document of 10 page today and take the printer off. Tomorrow when i put the printer on it will reprint the 10 pages before as soon as i put it on. This has been happening every day. I already reinstalled the printer software but this did not help. What can be the cause and how can this be resolved as soon as possible? It is a waste of my ink and paper.
