My sound driver is Vinyl Audio Deck. And my other reason why I want to replace it is because the sound driver too old and no downloadable driver now.
But my friend advice me in order to replace my sound driver is to replace my sound card first and it needs to be compatible with the system.

I have a laptop that was bought few months ago. Included with it is a windows 7 starter installer as part of the package. Free installation of the OS is also a part of their service. After a few months my computer was devastated with viruses and starting to run so slow. I decided to install a fresh OS for my laptop. The problem is that the driver is not included on the package, I just don’t know if they just forget to include the driver or it was not part of the package.

I have an old laptop bought about 3 years ago. For a long period of usage it was almost damage, the only thing that is working and can be reuse is the hard disk, the 256mb of ram and the sound card. The rest are totally out of order and unusable.
Now, I want to make a portable hard disk using my old one. And I’m planning to buy an enclosure case; the only problem is I don’t know what kind of connector needed for my hard disk. As far as I know there are two types of connector available on the market right now the SATA and IDE. How can I determine if my Laptop hard disk uses SATA or IDE connector?
Please also correct me for the terminology that I’ve used. I’m also confused about the difference between a hard disk and a hard drive.

Please, if anyone knows about my problem, feel free to post your answers! My computer automatically shuts down without any further notice. When I start the computer and reach the desktop, it takes only 5 minutes (as estimated the time) and shuts down, without any error message or even a warning prompt message!
Shutting down.
I just don't know what else to do. I don't have any idea with regards to this problem. Please help me my computer is in danger. I think I can't fix the problem as I don't know such troubleshooting issues! All I know is to surf the net.
Help please!

I'm encountering this Code39 error with DVD/CD-ROM since I’ve tried to fix some issue with my DVD drive. I’ve tried many things to fix theproblem but none of them seems to work. Some of the few things I’ve tried are; uninstalling and installing the DVD drive from the device manager, installing ccleaner program run the registry fix option. There are lots of registry errors detected after that I try to fixed them but it doesn’t help me with my problem. I don’t think that my DVD-ROM was damage. How can I figure out what’s the problem with my computer? I would be more expensive if I’m going to consult this to a technician. I know this is not a big issue and I can solve this with someone help.

For three years that I've been using with my laptop computer the message above with S.M.A.R.T occurred few weeks from now.
As anyone does with their computers like internet surfing, software installations, upgrading drivers and booting are done as my system routine. Scanning the drivers and restoring the factory settings.
But I have noticed this message every time I turned on and start the computer before the Windows logo is loading. At first i took it for granted but lately i started to get worried.
What is S.M.A.R.T doing with my laptop? If this message-alert will not take for an action what happened to the computer?

I am having error on my Windows Media Player 11 whenever I tried playing a certain song. It says, I cannot play protected files because a security update is required. And asking me if I want to download the security update.
But when I clicked on that message another alert box will appear with A windows media component requires upgrading message. I clicked on the upgrade and ended up with nothing. Why am I receiving this error? I just downloaded a typical mp3 song with valid license. I can very well play these songs before upgrading to windows media player 11.

Hi All,
The keyboard of my MSI Wind U100 is not working correctly. This is the first time I have encountered an issue with my MSI as this is just six months old in my possession. I am a bit worried about the issue of my laptop since I want to always make sure that my laptop is in shape. The enter key of my keyboard is not working. Whenever I press Enter in my keyboard, it is making the task of a backspace. Yeah, weird enough, but really I am having a hard time finding out what can fix this. I have checked the settings of keyboard and all, I think, is fine.
Could it be the insides?

Hey there! My Laptop’s DVD drive is kind of weird.
I am using an Acer Aspire 2950 laptop. It is running on Windows Vista SP2. I can actually play DVDs fine. I can watch two movies, but that I can say, is at most. This is because whenever I am into my third movie, just a few minute of it starting, it will create a clicking sound and the movie will not play. It is like the DVD drive is scratching the DVD. It is so awful to hear, and when I checked my DVD, there is a little bit of scratch.
I want it to work like the other first two DVDs I have played. What seems to be the issue with my DVD drive?
