Hardware
Hi,
I have an Acer Travel Mate 4150. When i bought it, the touch pad was not working that good, and i installed as the standard pointing device on PS/ 2 port 3. I found out that the drivers had a problem and installed new syntactics driver on the laptop. I got the drivers from a friend who had the same make and model of the laptop. In his PC the drivers worked, but not in mine.
I tried downloading the latest syntactics drivers from the official site, tried them out, but there was no change. My touch pad still has problems. When i use it to control movement on in Internet Explorer or Firefox, it will either take me forward or bring me to the previous pages, opposite of how i command it.

Hi everyone!
Two weeks ago, i bought a new HP Touchsmart 300z series desktop, installed it and everything was working alright. I started experiencing problems with the touch screen after i installed a new program. What happens is that, the screen loses its touch sensing ability and would not return unless i reboot the computer.
Another complication is that, the screen loses its touch ability when left idle for than 1 hour. The screen freezes and would not respond to anything unless i switch it off and power it up again.
This is quite strange. I am not so much familiar with PC touch screens; they are delicate and require careful handling. I have tried doing the following;

I have replaced the motherboard of my desktop computer, after changing the board CPU automatically turns off due to overheating. This computer has a large heat sink and a fan on it. I was not aware of thermal paste and as I have read that thermal paste is necessary to conduct heat away properly.
So, I used thermal paste for it I but paste seems like not much effective for it. But the problem is same here. Should I use any other thermal paste or help me to do something else. What should I do now? Can anyone help me in this regard?

I have a Dell 700m laptop with internal speaker complications. Sometimes they function well but after a while (random time span) they don’t work at all. This is forcing me to use head phones almost the whole day. I once heard somewhere that putting on head phone for long can head to certain health problems.
I have tried to look for ways to solve the problem. I found some tutorials on the web;

My Laptop battery does not meet expected life.
I have purchased a Laptop 10 months ago. My laptop came along with 6 cell battery which initially gave me approximately two and half – 3 hours back up time as promised by the Manufacturer. It has now started giving me about 1 hour back up time. The battery icon shows 80% – 85% charged and 2-3 hour backup time. But in reality it hardly gives me about 1 hour back up.
Pleas provide me any solution. My system is still under warranty but manufacturer refused battery replacement stating it’s a consumable commodity and does not get covered under warranty.

My old monitor was busted already. When my uncle heard about this, he gave me his old but still working Dell flat panel monitor as he was able to buy a new one already.
When I first connected it in my HP 6750 CPU, it worked fine. The next day I used it, I noticed a discoloration first, before it displayed disrupted image until it became black and white lines. These lines are moving from top to bottom endlessly. I checked the physical connections of the cables, and all are fine.

I think there is some common problems with Fujistu TFT-LCD displays. I had a friend with a model that always displayed GREENNISH videos and picture.
I bought a new 19’’ inch Fujitsu-Siemens ScaleoView L22W-7SD TFT-LCD monitor.
It works fine but the problem is that some hues are covered with flickering vertical green stripes.
Watching movies or viewing pictures in this display is quite annoying; there is a lot of green shade on the graphics.
I have tried to change the resolutions and contrasts in the monitor settings.
I also changed the video setting hoping to get a better graphic display which i never achieved.

I purchased my personal very first Mac, a 20? iMac, and Furthermore, I have a very few Macrelated concerns. I have observed that there are numerous blog posts for the Apple community forums concerning screen brightness issues. Individuals state that their iMacs, both 20 as well as 24, have unevenly lit screens. I was wanting to know if you have observed anything at all regarding this? I ended up being worried about this at first, but I think that it may just be people nitpicking. I was also curious about if you have got used a program known as Circus Ponies, for mac. It appears to be just like an intriguing and useful piece of software, plus That I was wondering if it was worth paying the $50 price tag.
