Hardware
My DVD drive is not reading any DVD. I tried to open my computer and clicked on the CD/drive icon and it says please insert any disk into the drive.
Whenever I put the CD into my drive it plays well but whenever I try to play a DVD just light blinks for some time but nothing happens.
I bought a new DVD drive which works well with only CDs I have purchased, but it doesn't recognize CD/DVDs written by me or someone else, I think it is a software problem but does anyone have any advice what can i do or where to start, thanks.
I am using Nero Express to burn a CD in Windows Vista.

Last month I had an issue regarding in playing online games which I never had before, it consists of accentuated decrease in the FPS rate which is impossible to keep playing. I’m doubtful that it is due to my connection because I used to play with no hassles. And so I spent whole day to reinstall programs and restore to its factory definitions, but the problem still persists.
Anyway I’m using Acer Aspire 5737z with a graphic card NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G. Here’s the scenario:
As soon as I start the game the fps rate is about 60 which I think is fine, then at 20 minutes of playing or less, it drops to 30-40, and then it abruptly decreases to 7-10 fps which obviously an unplayable game.

I am currently using a dual core unit with windows XP installed on it. My unit does not have a wireless network so whenever I try to connect to the internet I have to keep it wired. So I decided to buy a NetGear 54 Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter (model: WG311v3). I successfully installed it at the back of my CPU according to the instructions in the manual. But the problem is, when I turn on my computer, I began hearing beeps and the pc did not boot or display anything on the screen.

Hi,
I am a desktop computer user. I use a Samsung monitor as my display device. I am not satisfied with my color settings on my monitor. The monitor seems to me as dull. Its color combination is not as bright as per my consideration. It is not only dull but also its color is not such good. I need any sort of software to solve this problem with bright color and brighter display. Can anyone suggest me such software?
Please suggest me if you verify it.

I have turned on my Desktop computer two days back. I was deeply frustrated on what it did to me. I was hoping to finish up an important assignment but it said that no bootable device is found.

I am in possession of a dell GX280 system – its form factor being tower – that has shown the following issues lately:
1. Fan issues: first and foremost the fan is very noisy and secondly it runs really fast. The system also hangs a lot and has really slowed down lately with processor really heating up. I did try applying the processor paste to the processor, while this did make the noise go away, it didn’t solve the slowness of the computer.

The make of my PC is dell desktop. I have been using this computer for a while until recently it started developing some complications while booting. Sometimes it produces a funny sound around the motherboard but it doesn’t display anything. The fans are working and their some lighting in the motherboard.
The button used for switching on the CPU sometimes doesn’t work you press it and it doesn’t switch on as expected and normally when I press it once it switches on. Normally whenever it refuses to switch on I power it off and open the CPU and I perform the following actions, remove the hard disk and also remove the microprocessor and then i return it back as it was again.
