This is really annoying. I hope somebody can help me with this one.

I am using Internet Explorer to connect to our FTP site. Once accessing it, there was a pop-up asking, if I want to save my username and password. To my surprise, instead of NO, I clicked on YES. Now, every time I try to access, it remembers it. Believe me, I have tried deleting the cache, and all. But it is still there.

Need help.

Okay, I do encounter pop-ups whenever I browse on the internet. A friend of mine told me that I can block them using a pop-up blocker. Call me innocent, but I do not know where to find pop-up blocker in Google Chrome. I would appreciate it very much if somebody can give me a walk through.

I am a user of Windows. I use Firefox as my default browser and IDM as my default download manager. But when I download anything, I can’t browse using Firefox. I tried by increasing the priority from the task bar, but it doesn’t change anything.

Is there any solution for that, so that I can browse Internet smoothly?

I use Firefox 4.0. Recently an update of Firefox was released.  Whenever I try to connect to the Internet, it starts an automatic update. I don’t know how to stop it. It is very annoying to update Firefox all the time. I want a permanent  "turn off"  Firefox update. So, what can I do now?

I was using Internet Explorer but got intrigued , because I saw my officemates using Firefox as their web browser. I downloaded Firefox 4.0.1. The download, installation and first day of usage went well. The next day, when I launched Firefox, it opened numerous windows. One time, it even reached 20+ blank web pages.

In the meantime, due to this situation, I did not use Firefox and returned to IE8. I am still willing to give Firefox a try, but how do I deal with this problem? I hope somebody will give me insights on the matter at hand.

How can  I  delete Google Chrome search history? I found the wrench icon on the right side of the address bar and went to tools. That wasn’t right. I finally saw the History sect and saw  the list of addresses I’ve visited, but where do I get them? Am I missing something?

Hi all,

Dropbox on one of my Windows computers all of a sudden decided not to sync or even connect. Files are being uploaded to the web by my other computers, just not this one, and it's not retrieving files from the web either. Unfortunately, I have to use this computer to prepare some of my files before sending to my other computer, so this is really frustrating. Internet connection is active, btw… or I wouldn't be posting this ;-)I have unlinked the account, and uninstalled/reinstalled Dropbox twice. No better. Now it won't let me put in account information to re-link it. Any thoughts?

Hi all,

Windows does not allow me to download anything from the internet.  Whenever I have anything to download, Internet Explorer will initiate the download, but subsequently it will stop and a pop up window will indicate that the file cannot be downloaded.

I thought that maybe because the file is coming from an unknown publisher, my firewall is blocking the download.  I disabled the firewall, changed the security settings but nothing happened.
