I am looking to spend more on a laptop to get one that will last a lot longer. All of the bargain laptops I have bought die pretty quickly. What brand would you say has lasted a long time? Do you think a MAC last longer than a Windows machine?

I understand you can set up a dual boot with a pc. But is it possible to set up a dual boot with a laptop? I would like to set up my laptop with both Windows and Mac OS. Or with Windows and Linux. Is either one of these do able?

I purchased my daughter a HP Stream for her school work. We can not seem to keep a internet connection where it drops all the time. I searched for a answer and see that the Stream has a problem with connecting. But no answers on how to fix it. Any suggestions on what I might need to replace? Or software changes that can be made?

Hello, I repair laptops and I have one ready to ship to my brother.  However, I am reading and finding conflicting information on shipping lithium ion batteries.  I am hearing that one battery does not require special labeling but then I am also hearing you should always label even if one battery.  Does anyone have any suggestions on shipping laptops with lithium ion batteries?

I have a 6 cell laptop battery that seems to be overheating while in use, even after removing the charger it still overheats. Could this be a sign of a short circuit? What is the remedy for this, I cannot put the laptop on my laps while operating for I fear getting burns. Could this be a battery problem?
