I think I made a mistake, I tune check disk of C; got cannot access volume; and D; lunching it normally.

Now my laptop does not start,

error unmountable_boot_volume

stop 0x00000ED (0x86470650,0xC000009C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I tried to restart with Acronis and it launches and can see the two drives. I then tried to start with the Product Recovery disk that came with the laptop, and it hangs with the following message:

Waiting for ODD to become available

ODD drive E; ready

Check for medium in drive E

I must point out that since the DVD drive of the laptop is faulty I am using an external one connected via two USBs.

My HP Mini started to malfunction a few months ago. I tried turning it on normally and using safe mode; it would lead up to the windows XP screen, then after a couple of seconds it suddenly flashes a BSOD then restarts. It would repeat over and over again so I lost hope on it and gave up.

A few days ago, I just started to research a fix again and found the MIE Restore Image Creator. I was naturally excited to try it out. The page stated that I needed at least a 2 GB USB.

I grab both my 4 GB and 8 GB USB and began using the program to write the recovery image into the USB, but then I get error.

The quality of my dell laptop fan speed.  As I was observing my dell laptop for almost 5 months there are times when I use it for business purposes it goes too hot for a minimum of 4 hours of use. Well I am just wondering if this is the temperature level that a dell fan speed can do.

I already encountered battery problems.

First, even after a full charge the battery would only last about an hour.

Second, if the laptop is in sleep/standby mode charging will stop (I am not sure if this is the way it is).

Lastly, even it was fully charged the indicator (bottom right portion, near the Time) says it is 50% only.

I am using dell inspiron 1520 and now it is becoming problematic. After PSA diagnostic I have got error code 0146.

The screenshot of the error is as follows:

The error reads as:

Error code 0146.

Msg: Error Code 2000-0146

Msg: Unit 1:DST Log contains previous error(s).

The given error code and message can be used by Dell

Technical Support to help diagnose the problem.

Hi experts,

I have been facing problem regarding the start up of my laptop. The current configuration of my laptop is Mint 13 x64bit. Few days ago, while starting up, I found that it took about 20 seconds than the normal start up. Nowadays, it adopts the same delay start up with some awful error message like “buffer I/O error on device…”, “logical block 0..” and so on.

Have you any idea regarding this issue? Is it a serious issue?

My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW378J that runs on Windows Vista Home Premium. It has WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software 6.2.0.5800 installed.

Whenever I turn my laptop on these 2 error messages pop-up.
