What if my Laptop shuts down before the battery status indicator shows empty or my computer operates after the battery status indicator shows empty?

I  just received a hand me down notebook from my friend and I wanted to reformat it, but the problem is the notebook doesn't has a CD drive to insert the OS CD on it.

Does anyone know how to reformat notebooks without using an OS CD for installation.?

I'm looking at buying a new laptop at somepoint and I don't know if it is necessary for me to get a gaming computer to be able to enjoy games like Fate, WOW, and Sims 3. If I don't get a gaming computer, will my normal computer be able to handle games like these? What will be the quality differences in game performance? Conversely, if I do get a gaming computer, how will that be different as far as work is concerned? Will there be any notable differences in computer performance when it comes to working tasks?

I just notice that everytime i play HD games on my laptop, the fan always produce a loud sound.

Do you think that i need a replacement ?

After an hour of using my laptop.

It always show a black screen, but it is working.

You will just not see anything on the screen.

How to solve this ?

I am having some trouble with my laptop PC shut down and I am not sure whether it has anything to do with my battery. I need to make sure if my battery is alright and for this purpose I will be needing some verified method. Should some one know of any method with which I can make sure that it is not a battery problem, kindly tell me.

I do not whether it is a touch screen problem or something else.

It does not seem to take the access words.

I'm using HP laptop. 

Configuration:

500 GB HAR DISK

3 GB RAM

Core i3, 3.1 GHz processor.

I've used this for 1 year without any error. But nowadays when i start my laptop, an error occurs says that " Internal HDD error".

What should i do now ? Any tips?
