Can I do install of Snow Leopard from external DVD drive?

When I bought my laptop the live for almost 3 to 4 hours but now it lives for just 1.5 or so I don’t understand how to optimize it.

Hello today i thought i would format my dads laptop. I was using the USB/HDD method to do this. The setup went to 50% and then error started coming up saying "C:windowssystem32presetup.cmd file not found C:windowssystem32setuporg.exe file not found cause Presetup.cmd not in i386 uxpcd setuporg.exe no in i386 uxpcd check txtsetup.sif in i386 folder" I have checked the files are there. I need a solution ASAP Regards Ares

I have a Samsung RV408 Laptop. But the laptop does not display properly. After displaying the BIOS screen, the display is off. I have reinstalled the Windows XP. But the problem is not solved. When I install Windows XP then the display is ok. Please help me.

I have heard of having features like Battery care function  in some Sony notebook which sets the charge level. This would help to avoid the charging if the Battery if it's fully charged. Is there any software is available which will provide this kind of feature for other notebook ?

After I switch on WiFi in my hp G62 laptop it always disable. To enable this I should enable radio on/off in wireless LAN card properties after I switch on my WiFi. Please help me anyone to solve this problem.

I have a laptop DELL Inspiron, with i3 processor (n series).

Yesterday, it suddenly started giving a long beep, without affecting any other program. Meaning everything was working fine except the continuous sound.

I tried everything advised to me by the dell experts, like taking out the RAM (I have 2 rams of 1 GB each, and took out the RAMS one by one), the battery, the power supply and so on, but the beep is still present. Eventually I had to disable the sound card.

By the way I have Realtek High definition audio card. I checked the driver from the dell website, as well as from the Relate, and can confirm that I have the latest drivers.

I have concerns regarding my new laptop. This laptop was bought  by my sister who is working at UAE. She said that she used it just for a month surfing the internet using WIFI. My problem is when I connect the laptop to my wired internet, it cannot detect the connection.  I cannot use it also using WIFI since we have no router available yet. This internet wire works well in this old laptop bought here in my country. Until now I haven't yet use this new laptop for surfing internet. Good thing there is this site I can seek answers with. Please help me with this problem. What shall I do  with this? I am bit disappointed already. Thanks.
