Linux
I have little experience with Linux and I'm trying to make some configurations.
I have Ubuntu 10.10, a NVidia GTX 295 graphics card and 2 monitors that I'm trying to get them mirrored.
I installed the restricted drivers but that didn't solve the problem.
Then I installed the drivers from nvidia but that also didn't solve the problem.
Can anyone help?

Not long time ago I installed linux's Fedora os on my netbook Samsung n150, everything was okay but the wireless card, i found drivers for my "atheros" wireless card and installed them successfully on my np150 but it says that it's disabled by the administrator, I am the administrator and I've never disabled it, so I don't really know anything about how to make it "enabled" so i can use it.

Hi experts,
I am using a Sony Vaio VGN-FE890 laptop running Arch Linux kernel 2.6.30-ARCH.
Inserting a CD into the optical drive makes it spin for a bit, then do nothing. Running dmesg returns the following:
Error:
Unable to mount UDF Volume
Error mounting: mount: block device/dev/sr0 is write-
protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/
sr0,
Missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog-try
dmesg tail or so

Hello mates,
I am installing ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 for Linux Desktop. I am having Ubuntu version 11.04. During the installation process, I have received the error message which is described below:
Error:
“Please install the following files or packages: /usr/lib/gconv/UTF-16.so”
The installer only gives the option “Close” and I am unable to continue with the installation. If anyone can help me in figuring out this issue, please let me know.

Hello techyv,
I have just installed an application and created a launcher by right-click an item in the menu and then select "Add this launcher to desktop". The resulting launcher displays an icon that looks like it is for a text file.
When I click on it, I get this error message:
Error:
Untrusted application launcher
The application launcher “linux.desktop” has not been marked as trusted. If you do not know the source of this file, launching it may be unsafe.

Hi mates,
I downloaded and installed Linux Mint 9.0 XFCE.
While changing the time and date in "Time and Date Settings," I clicked on the "hour" arrow, I got an error message that read:
Error:
The configuration could not be saved.
An unknown error occurred.
Please advice as to what should I do, in order to sort out this error.
Thanks in advance.
