I am using Ubuntu 9.04 and tried to play DVD on this OS. I have tried to play both with totem-xine and VLC. I was trying to play DVD then it shows a following dialog box. I have tried many attempts to solve this problem but could not solve.

Hi guys.  I'm new to Fedora Linux.  I installed VLC Media Player so I could watch my DVD's.  I can't watch the DVD's because I'm having the "Fedora does not have the necessary codec to play this file" error.  Is there a work around or an alternative player so I could watch DVD with Fedora 14?

Hi.  I have a desktop that has an Intel i5 processor, 500 GB RAM, 1 GB Nvidia Graphics Card, 4 GB RAM and Linux Ubuntu.  I accidentally deleted some files that I would like to recover.  I tried using SoftPerfect file recovery for Linux but the recovered files got corrupted.  Is there any other way I can recover the files?

Md5 still confuses me. There are a number of websites that promises to do md5 reverse lookup, but I'm not that convince that these websites can look up all the possible combinations that I need.
