I have several m files and data files in a project. Now I want to rename the m files into standard specific name format which I have to compulsory follow. But, when I rename all the files the project is no longer executing well and I am getting following errors: System cannot find the path specified. I have restarted the PC, cleared all cache and recycle bin too for that matter. What might be the cause of this? The Matlab toolbox is fine because I do not see any errors in the old project still. Any solutions?

I am trying to increase the speed of the functions I have implemented so that I can speed up the process. I have datasets in multiple files and of gigantic size. I am trying to find the pattern and hence it will definitely look more time consuming. With the assumption of little errors, what is the chance of minfunc function helping me in this regard? Are there any other functions in Matlab which helps in optimizing already optimized code? Thank you for your help.

I am trying to find the way to play a pair of videos or four of them at a time. I am trying to display video inside video. I am aware that Matlab allows loading and play .avi or more supported files. But for the requirement, I need to load multiple file at the times instant and make the video presentation. How to accomplish playing multiple video at different timeline? How to pause on or more videos while others are playing? How to do image effects of blurring and highlighting while playing videos in Matlab?

I am working on a project with a team to detect license plate in the image, and recognize the characters (character extraction). The image will be the front view of the vehicle. The problem I am stuck in is with the Algorithms I am using. I am utilizing both linear discriminate analysis and PCA methods. In both, for some vehicles I am getting the stickers or labels the drivers stick to the car. Is there any algorithm other than the mentioned which is used widely? One typical problem again here is license plates have no discipline in fonts. The size, alignment and shape of the characters, all are user defined here and hence the character recognition is also finding trouble. Amy guidance is highly appreciated.

I have images on cancer and would like to write the Image code sequencing to enable it to identify the stages of cancerous cells form other photos, How can I achieve this? what is the nature of this code? is it Java, C# or a simple line command? where can this code be found?

I am using MATLAB 2009a on Windows 7 32 bit. I am trying to run this program that includes a mexmaci file, a mexw32 file and a cpp file. I tried to run the program but got an error that said, "Could not detect a compiler on local system which can compile the specified input file(s). Error using mex (line 115) Unable to complete successfully". How can I execute my program correctly? Is the error because of files that are not supported by MATLAB?

How do I start programming in Matlab? The new IT manager in our company is a Matlab die hard, almost all its code is in Matlab, but i can only write in C++ language. With many code sent to me daily in Matlab, so I think I need to learn Matlab. Please, is there a converter from Matlab to C++, if not, what option do I have?.
