Microsoft Others

Microsoft Others

I have DC win server 2008 with lots of XP clients.

Some of the users in DC are tested and shared files with them.

I log on as domain user and share a folder with permission.

However when I need another user the domain name does not show and I cannot select other users.

Why does it happen?

I would be glad to accept any suggestion that would help me correct this issue.

In using Exchange 2010 server, would it be possible that all emails including internal emails/local emails be sent out and leave the network?

The current flow is that we make use of a posting service for virus/spam filter and double deliver emails of users to our Google account applications which also stand as an email backup, thus for user1 and user2 who both have accounts in the server exchange, when user1 sends an electronic mail to user2, the email goes straight to user2's mailbox without leaving the network.

If the local email does not leave the exchange server, then it never hits posting box, thus it does not double deliver the emails to the Google account application.

I just started using Dynamics CRM 2011. In fact, I just installed it today. When I attempt to open MS Dynamics CRM Deployment Manager, I received an error  “Unable to obtain DNS hostname of Active Directory domain controller with ntdsa object name.” followed by some exception stack trace.

When I close the error box above, I got another error telling me that “MMC has detected an error in a snap in and will unload it.” It has two options to choose to. The first one is to report the error to Microsoft and the second one is to unload the snap-in and continue. I found some similar issues but I don’t know which one is the best to fix this. Can someone help?

We are planning to set up Exchange 2010 for our branch Office.

We have several divisions which we want to combine into a single Exchange Organization wherein each company division must have a unique email like [email protected], etc.

Are there consequences or pitfall which we should avoid/be aware of? Is there any information we have to know before we consider this type of server’s exchange integration?

We have already decided to install new 2008 Forest.

We have two (2) SP1 2010 Exchange servers consisting of two (2) Database Mailboxes put up as a DAG. Our customers more or less two of them are all using Outlook 2010 in their Personal Computers.

Recently, we observed that the transaction logs were increasing rapidly than expected – it increases to more than 30GB since our previous full back-up during the weekend.

I observed that outside ordinary office hours we’re receiving the expected quantity of logs produced – one (1) every few minutes – but at about 8:30am as soon as my staff begin working this increases up to a dozen a minute.

We have a single SP2 2007 Exchange and presently launched a 2010 Exchange. I've moved some test accounts into the 2010 mailbox to know if it’s working. For two (2) days it worked alright.

However, when an email sent from a 2007 account to a 2010 mailbox it just sit in the queue on 2007. In the same manner, any incoming emails for the 2010 mailboxes will just stay on the 2007 queue.

We have tried with telnet to 25 smtp diag and no errors are displayed. We have tried to move the mailboxes back with New- Move Request and it just stayed in the move requests as queued. I appreciate any suggestions that could help us solve this problem.

Does anybody know how to configure Exchange Federation Trust?

Can you please teach me a step by step procedure on how to configure it? It will really be of great help.

This is the first time I will configure an Exchange Federation Trust.

We share some users’ free/active information with another company.

Both companies are using SPI Exchange 2010.

I thought that both companies need to configure their Exchange Federation.

Last week, I have set up a new DC. However, I’ve encountered a problem wherein whenever I send emails to an email address it bounces back saying that the message cannot be delivered and the address could not be traced in the exchange. These are part of our domain but not actually set up on my local DC.

I have also looked for the address in the AD but I couldn’t find it. Is having the same domain causing this problem? We have about five (5) users that are set up outside of our office that aren’t connected to this exchange, but uses email addresses within our domain. How will I solve this?

Can someone help me with this problem I’ve encountered lately?

Can you tell me why after I installed SP2 and one of my users go to the website of OWA, it cannot be browsed with Internet Explorer (IE)? When using other known browsers there is no problem. But when they use the IE, they get a certificate error. Do I need something to configure in IE's settings? If yes, can you tell me what it is?
