What is the difference between layer 2 and layer 3 switches? I would also like to know how V.35 and RS 232 cables are different from each other. How much bandwidth can each of these cables support?

Hello, I have a HP dv6000 laptop (yes, it was trash) and i just renewed the motherboard with a secondhand one after having the graphics fail on the original because of the habitual overheating of the CV. But I am having another problem, there’s no audio. Somebody have any ideas on fixing this laptop problem?Thanks.

I have a computer running on 64bit Windows 7 Pro. I am having a number of problems with the internet connection. It takes long (about 15 seconds) to connect to the internet from sleep mode. The computer is connected to a Linksys switch, which is connected to a cable modem router. An exclamation mark indicating that there is no internet accessibility is displayed. I have tried changing the static address, disabling the firewall and malware option on the antivirus (Avast) that I am using, but still the problem persists. Please help.

     My 500gb Hard Disk has become noisy and creating a buzzing sound these past few days and I’m worried that there might be something wrong with it. I tried checking it by removing it from the unit and shaking it if there is some loose components inside. I found out that it is still intact so I attach it again to the unit and there it is again. My computer still functions and still loading but I noticed that it took longer than usual to load the desktop…what’s wrong? Is it time for me to replace my hard disk? By the way my hard disk is only 6 months old

I am using MSI laptop with Windows 7 installed on it. It has also a Blu-Ray Disc Drive and I want to upgrade it as soon as the new firmware is release. Anyone of you here knows how to get information about the manufacturer of your laptop’s Blu-Ray drive? I’ve tried checking the Device Manager on my computer but still no luck. I tried searching for it on Google.com but I can’t manage to find links that satisfy my problem. Hopefully, one of you here can help me. Help is definitely appreciated.

I have a Windows XP SP3 Tablet PC and had Office Small Business Edition installed on it which I’ve been using for several years. But all of a sudden, any Office applications can’t be use anymore and it requires to be reinstalled. I tried to use Microsoft’s original installer but it won’t work in repair approach, it just gives some lists of programs. Can you please help me on this?

I am indistinct with Amps measurements and its use to power supplies with the conforming power cords that is plugged directly to the outlets. I owned an external hard disk that needs 12V 4.0amp adaptor. I placed a small block to control the hard disk power correctly. I have other cord that plugs with the outlet and can manage 2.5amps as specified on the tag of the wire. I want to know if this one will work on my hard disk or not.
