Misc Hardware
Accidents can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. What if one accidentally spilled water or any liquid on his external HDD, what would one do to save the data and even the hardware? Are there any tips to do to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the hardware?

I am having this error,
CMOS checksum error – Defaults loaded
Press F1 to continue or Del to enter setup
Pressing F1 will continue opening my Windows XP desktop. Pressing Del will allow me to enter my BIOS settings. I am receiving a series of hangs and freezes, and I cannot set the clock correctly. If I set the clock, it will automatically go back to previous year 2006. And will give me an error on expired certificate.
I want to know how to reset my CMOS battery, as this will be my first option to resolve the issue. If this won’t work then maybe my CMOS battery needs a replacement.

I was setting up my Wii console to be able to stream NETLIX movies. Basic thing you need to do is set up your WiFi connection for Wii console. Every time I'm trying to set up my WiFi connection for Wii console to connect, I kept getting an error during connection test process. It gave me an error code 51030.
Can anyone please advise on what to do?

I'm looking for a graphics card for my laptop. I'm gong to use it mostly for gaming, but I don't know what kind I'll need. My laptop is an HP G60 Notebook PC, The processor is an AMD Turin Dual-Core RM-75. I believe the laptop is several years old, but still runs fine. I'm not looking for a specific card, though if you know one that fits perfectly, feel free to share. I'm looking for some info on what I should look for in a card. If you need any more info on the laptop, ask and I'll edit.

I got to download parts 1 – 6 but when it got to part 7 I got this error “[aborted] No Permissions to write to hardisk”.
So I checked my hard disk for how much memory was left there was around 50 GB of free disk space.

My flash drive is formatted to FAT32, and I can’t seem to copy large files to it. I need to convert it first to NTFS in order to successfully do it. But I don’t know how to do it. This is same with my 1TB External Hard Disk Drive. This two will just be useless if I can’t copy all the files I want. I am using Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. Please send me step by step instructions so I can change it to NTFS format. I want to copy movies to my external hard disk and some files and photos on my flash drive. I’m running Windows Vista. Thanks in advance.

Dear All,
I am having a problem, but I am not yet sure who the culprit is. I am using an Acer laptop which has three ports for the USB. I cannot use any USB item to it because every time I try to plug a USB, the laptop will shutdown.
I am trying to isolate the issue. I have 1 Flash disk, 1 USB mouse and USB external hard disk. I tried every item to each of the available three USB ports, but not of them worked. And, as I said, once an item is plugged it, my laptop will restart. But, all in all aside from this, my laptop is fine.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
