Misc Hardware
Hey there! My Laptop’s DVD drive is kind of weird.
I am using an Acer Aspire 2950 laptop. It is running on Windows Vista SP2. I can actually play DVDs fine. I can watch two movies, but that I can say, is at most. This is because whenever I am into my third movie, just a few minute of it starting, it will create a clicking sound and the movie will not play. It is like the DVD drive is scratching the DVD. It is so awful to hear, and when I checked my DVD, there is a little bit of scratch.
I want it to work like the other first two DVDs I have played. What seems to be the issue with my DVD drive?

Hello,
I'm planning to get a security camera/cctv for my work place. We have 2 entrance the front door and the back door unfortunately both of them are not installed with any security camera yet.
I have search in Google about many types of security camera but it makes me more confuse. I just want a simple security camera to operate and understand how to do that. But may be not too simple. I was wondering if it can be connected to a computer so I can access the security camera directly from my laptop or iPhone or iPad or any mobile device.

I am struggling too much with my pc, please help me. I am running on Windows XP on my laptop.
Recently it was attacked by serious virus. But I was successful to get rid of all the virus by ESET NOD32 antivirus. I am not having any kind of problem with the programs but I can’t open any of the hard drive partition by double clicking on the drive icon. If I click on the drive icon then only I can see an open with option shown below.
I have already checked the whole computer again with the anti virus but not found any virus.
Please help me to get it fixed.

CMOS problem, how do I fix it?
Every time I turned on my computer, and before it starts up to the windows.
There will be a message that I should press F1 first before I continue to the next loading page.
And when I press F1 it will continue.
But when I press delete button on the keyboard it will go to the setup menu.
After that I will re-save the side menu and then the computer will restart again.
When the computer restarted the message will disappear. I mean no press F1 anymore.
But the next day, that I will use the computer the message show up again.
I'm tired of seeing that message every time I opened my computer.

Bios problem, how will I fix it?
I have a Celeron desktop computer.
My problem is the BIOS so I decided to take off the CMOS battery and replace it with a new one again. When I turned on my computer, the BIOS comes first, then suddenly froze on the next loading page when the computer is starting to check the devices.
I insert my Microsoft Windows XP 64 bit bootable disk but when I turned on the computer again, the Windows' logo doesn't display on my screen. My computer loading up and just stops when the logo display.
I just replaced the CMOS battery to be able BIOS works. What is the problem on my computer?

I purchased a Toshiba Store Art 3 1TB External Hard Drive to secure all the important data’s and backups on my notebook.
It can connect to any Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer via a USB 2.0 port.
The unit is practically plugged and play. My computer detected my external hard drive the first time I plug this to my computer. While I was backing up all the important data’s on my pc, it went into hibernation because the battery is too low.
I could not easily turn my laptop on again so I have to wait for few minutes.

Hello there,
I am a mobile/cell phone repairer and I also have to perform tasks like data uploading in mobiles etc (usually). I have installed MS XP service pack three (3) on my office/lab PC and I am having an issue with my media card reader.
The problem I have with my media card reader is that it stops working after a while and than again use to starts working again properly automatically after a minute or so. Mean, my media card reader pauses its functionality (while working) suddenly and than after some time it restarts its motion again (after getting hanged for a while).

My Toshiba laptop is equipped with a Multiple Digital Media Card Slot. I can use SD/ SDHC/ Memory stick/ Memory Stick Pro, MMC/ xD Memory Cards on it with appropriate capacities.
But lately, when I try to transfer some pictures from my Sony Digicam, I inserted a Sandisk adapter to the slot with the memory card inside it, I can hear the tick sound proving that I successfully inserted the adapter. Normally, when you inserted a USB or memory card adapter or any disk on my DVD Rom, a pop up box will appear to Autoplay the media I inserted. But my memory card slot cannot read anything.
