Misc Networking
Hi!
I have installed an interface for a Router running MikroTik Operating System into my computer. I am not able to shape the bandwidth to control my clients' access. How can I configure it so that I am able to carry out this task? The Operating System is installed on the RouterBoard and the interface is running on my Windows 7 Operating System.

We have 3 computers in the home sharing a single internet connection. It keeps getting cut off, and the error message says that there's an IP conflict with another computer. We get that for all three computers from time to time. What should I do to fix it? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Good Day Everyone!
I’m considering to take one of the networking certifications but I need to know if there’s available books or ebooks with the complete computer networking tutorials for beginners and advanced users. I’m considering to take either CCNA or MCSE certification but I can’t decide yet since I’m considering the difficulty of the exam, the available resources and of course the available work opportunities. I would be glad to hear the inputs from the experts and certified professionals. Please share us your knowledge and expertise.
Thanks in advance,
Amy Bate

Hallo there!
I am running a small network testing project for a client and I am pinging all the time. I wanted to give them more information whenever I carry out the network tests. This I wanted to calculate the speed and the bandwidth during some particular intervals. Is there a ping tool with bandwidth calculator that I can use for this? A good work at this juncture is giving me a better job in the future, so please share with me your best. Thanks.

Hi!
I am running a small internet distribution company and would like to monitor my router traffic. Where can I get monitoring router traffic free application, with easy install to use in my business? Please, note that I do not need the illegal ones; I strictly need a free application with the owner's authority for use.

Hello!
I am not at all good in networking, but I bought a Cisco router for home use. The setup instructions provided are like Greek to me. Is there Cisco connect easy setup that I can use to avoid all this hectic process? If there is a direct download link then kindly share.

Hi! I started a new internet business within my locality. I connect my neighbours to the internet and they pay me at the end of the month. I realized that some of them carry out heavy downloads therefore adversely affecting the speed for the other clients. Is there an open source LAN limited that I can use to control how much bandwidth each of the clients get? I will appreciate if the limiter is also able to completely disconnect someone when necessary. Give a bit of review please!

Hello! What are some of the Cacti ping monitoring capabilities? I have been using network magic for my network management and I wanted to move to something more robust. I was given a suggestion of using Cacti. Anyone with an idea what Cacti can do? Is it possible using both of them at the same time? Cheers!

Hallo, Guys! I am running a Mac Operating System and would like to acquire a Linksys network magic Mac free download to use with my wireless router. I have checked online for the network magic but I only find Windows versions. Can such network magic applications restrict access even to people who are using cable and not wireless? Can it give a log of network activities carried out by all the computers connected? Cheers!

Cisco has a very good name out there when it comes to routers and other networking machines.
I have also used some Cisco routers in the past and they never disappoint.
I would therefore like to know the ISO for Router Cisco that has really kept them on top for such a reasonable time.
Further, I believe they also have their own company standards that they adhere to.
Any information on that and why Cisco beats many other companies in the game will really be appreciated.
Thanks.
