Can i configure the IP address of my computer while there's someone remoting on my computer?

Destination: 192.164.1.0
Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway/Next Hop: 192.123.11.150

I have switched off the current cabels but my NIC got struck by lightning which came through telephone line. Can this damage the motherboard also? My PC is working but it makes a CLICK sound when it powers up.

I am having some trouble dealing with internet proxies and I need to do it quick. I do not know how to do it manually. Should I do it with control panel or it has to be done with the browsers. Please help me out on this problem. Give me all the possible results for this proxy settings.

This Network includes about 100 pcs. During working hours sometimes clients cannot access emails and internet. This happens time to time. I suspect that there is a pc with faulty network card causing this issue. How can i identify that pc?

I have a planet adsl 2/+2 router use to access internet. I cannot access internet several times a day and when i checked router adsl settings have reset to default.  why is this happens?
