Is the global debut of LG Optimus L5 and its features  an assurance to last longer than other smartphones in the market knowing that mobile technology nowadays is fast moving?

Is anyone familiar with Android programs here? I’m having trouble playing a video with my Media player. I’m using an LG Optimum One Phone, and every time I open a video it only plays a couple of seconds then this error appears; “Media Player: Error in Media Player.” Any help would do. Thanks guys!
