Motherboards
On an older PC, it is normal for the CMOS battery to fail at some point in time. They usually last for lots of years. On a brand new motherboard, this sort of issue is usually a sign of a defect. Often, a dying battery will first manifest itself intermittently. Sometimes, I boot with no issue.
At other times, I see an error indicating that the technique doesn't match the configuration or the Date & Time settings on your computer are wrong. When the battery fails entirely, these errors will either come up every time I reboot, or my BIOS may document a mistake number with a message stating that the battery is dead. Give me the solution?

Hi,
I don’t know if the problem is (a) compatibility of Vista to my system; (b) problem with my hardware and peripherals; (c) defective windows vista. In any case, I need to fix this problem as I consume a lot of time just waiting for my computer to boot.
I have an HP Core Duo having 2 GB RAM. Vista is Home Premium Edition. Whenever the system needs to start up, it takes up at least minimum 10 minutes before it lands on the desktop.
The sound of the hard drive can be heard meaning it is booting up, but the screen is steadily blank and black. After the extremely long wait for boot-up, the computer works fine.
Everything is OK, opening websites, opening files and even connecting to network drives and files.

Hi,
Recently, I tried to purchase a Intel Sandy bridge motherboard. But when I went to the marketplace, I saw that there is no sandy bridge motherboard available. When I asked the dealer, they answered me that, Intel found a problem in these motherboards and they have halted the shipment.
Now my question is, what is the problem specifically? How to solve this?
Thanks.

Hi, I am a beginner in the world of technology. Recently I have learnt how to install operating system in a fresh computer and tried to practice on my desktop computer. But after installing the operating system I am not getting any sound from my pc.
Motherboard model is Intel DG965RY. In the device manager I don’t see any problem and sound device is showing high definition audio device. To get back the sound I tried by reinstalling the sound driver and don’t see any error message during the process. When I try to play any kind of audio file, it says bad sound driver detected. Somebody please help me.

I had to change my motherboard because the on-board audio and video cards are both not working. It booted up fine after 15 seconds but it went to a blue screen after getting the startup page. It says insert the installation disc to do startup repair.
So I tried startup repair and it didn’t work. Also I system restore didn’t fix it. The last resort I could to is to reinstall the operating system but I want to find out if there are other solutions to this kind of problem.
I’m using windows 7 Starter and the problem started after I replaced my motherboard.
