I am using MS-Access. I want to make a query that will show the highest paid employee on each department in my company. I used the totals query and the Max() function to get the highest paid employee and yet I can’t seem to get my expected output. How can I do this in a right way? How can I get an output that will show the lucky employee on each department?

Hello Everyone!
Today I transferred my Microsoft Office Access from my old computer to my new one.
Now when I try to access my database I get the following error message:
Error:
Microsoft Office Access
You do not have the necessary permission to use the
‘(439AF127-7AAD-B6C8-C94676117FD9)’ object. Have your system administrator or the person who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you.
Both computers run on Windows 7 Home Premium, and both are 64 bit.
Can anyone shed some light on my situation?

I have an update query I am trying to run, but my Microsoft Office Access will not let me run it. I have tried more than once, and have had this problem with more than one update query. When I run update queries I get the above error message.
Does anyone know how I am to fix this? I am currently running on Windows 7 Home Premium and have Microsoft Office Access 2000 if that helps generate solutions.
Please help, Techyv!
Thanks!

While working on a school project I got stuck with a problem, I cannot update my database placed on a remote Windows Server and created in MS Access but published by MS Publisher. I was making some changes on my database (I have a copy of the database on my computer [offline working]) which I want to update on my webpage. I connect to my server remotely, and I open the access database, the update goes to 100% and than occurs an error, It says: "database could not be updated this time due to internet connection failure, please try again later.". I have tried this 10000 times it never works, any ideas???

A friend of mine created a database in MS Access 2007. She asked me for some help and sent me the file to work on. I have MS Access 2000 on my computer and haven't been able to open the file. Is there any way to open this file in version 2000. Can these two versions interact with each other?
