MS Excel
Hey there, you guys!
I have a question about opening two Excel files in the same window. Usually, when I try to open two different files in Excel, they open in two separate windows.
What I want is that when I open a new file, or another copy of the same file, Excel would make the file viewable in the same window.
This way I will be able to stay within the same window and edit two separate files. I was wondering if there is an option in Excel that would help me do that. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Hey, guys!
I need help in making diagrams in MS Excel. It is safe to assume that only the people who are familiar with excel should answer this question. I want to create a file in Excel and then transform it into a Gephi file. What I want is to make a diagram in which different people are shown. In the diagram, I want to show social connections of people with the ability to add comments as well. How can I make an Excel file in a way that it can also be compatible with Gephi? For instance, I want to make a file like this: Les Miserables.gexf.
If there is a way to do this, then please let me know. Thank you!

I am wondering if there is a certain method in which you can transfer data from a physical file that saves you the trouble of changing the file in Excel. The reason for this is because my attempt of doing it using the Excel Data Transfer Add In yielded cells that had a syntax which was impossible to read, it seems as if a space is being populated with a 4040 string. I am also interested in how to have the columns populated correctly in the cells. Thanks in advance for your help.

After upgrading to Microsoft Office 2010, would you stop saving and creating file documents with .doc and .xls format in the older version?
Did you convert the old formatted documents to the new open XML File format?

Hey, everyone,
Microsoft gave me interesting surprise just now.
Microsoft Excel 2008 displayed this unusual error message when I opened up a standard Office 2003 (Windows) / Office 2004(Mac) XLS spreadsheet. OpenOffice 3.0 Calc not only opened the same file without complaining but it seemed to start the application and load the file much faster than Excel 2008. Would any of you, guys, know why this is happening?
Here is a screenshot of the error message. Hope it helps:
File error: data may been lost.
Help, anyone?
Thanks!
