We are having two SQL database sized 1.5 GB and 6 GB in a server.

New transactions are added on a daily basis.

We want to backup the database to a remote location on every day.

It is not possible to back up the full 6 GB database on every day.

So, we need to backup the present day transaction on every day.

Please give me some suggestions.

I am having some problems while attempting to install SQL Server on my Windows Server 2008 R2 standard. I have also gone through almost all the posts in here with no luck. These posts have not been useful to me although they might have been for others. As I follow the instructions written in the posts, the .net framework in redist folder is replaced by .net framework service pack1 which is downloaded from Microsoft’s website. Hence all of my trials went in vain. I will be really grateful if someone can help me to get out of this problem I am facing.

I am experiencing problems with monitoring some of my SQL servers.  I try to find the servers in monitoring mode under Microsoft SQL Server->Computers and it does not work as it is.

Can someone explain what's wrong with this?  Thanks ahead.

I used PostgreSQL 9.1 Server in my Windows XP computer.

It has the application Stack Builder option.

I got an error when trying to install additional software with Stack Builder 3.0.0.

When I am using Server Management Console in Small Business Server 2003, I encounter some problems. When I am clicking on a user to change the permission a wizard will come and permission can be changed through that wizard. But now, when I am clicking next in the wizard, the server was waiting for some time and getting disappeared after that without giving any error messages. If anybody knows the solution to this problem, please help me. I will be thankful for all your help.

 I want to do authentication of Kerberos to SQL Server. For doing this I have to do delegation. So, I selected ‘The delegation Tab from AD and on the Trust this computed for delegation’. After that, I have selected ‘only use Kerberos’. Then selected ‘add user and apply’ but I got an error message of ‘Access Denied’. Since I am the administrator I don’t know why this error message comes up. Please help me to find the problem. Thanks in advance. Please see the screen shot.

Hello! As we are working on a project, we are experiencing some difficulties working on mdf database. We used Visual Studio 2008 Pro Edition in building our website that is created by C# Programming.

We made a database through Server ExplorerData connectionsCreate New SQL Server Database and insert localhostSQLEXPRESS and named the database as Event_Companio_Database. And then I moved the database mdf and ldf file from the primary location to App_Data folder.

But I could not rebuild connection with this error

How do you specify a range for a report from SQL Server Report Services to be exported to MS Excel? The range should have a name and refers to some cells with certain columns for the rows that are rendered for table control.

How do you bring about records from a table? I want to use a query which has words entered in a textbox. It only works if the specific word/s is/are entered in the criteria in the design view.

Is it possible to duplicate a database server and its content and then transfer to a virtual machine? We wish to do it with servers that are on expensive machines.
