Hi! I am basically new to SQL and I need some assistance. I need to make a trigger that will allow me to generate an xml file of the date whenever an action takes place. I have been searching for options and I have encountered a clause that can generate an output as xml format. But it does not allow me to make an actual xml file that I can put in a path. Can you give me other options that I could use? I’m looking forward to your response. Thank you.

My subscription does not feed the latest transactions from the publisher. I tried re-initializing it and saw that the snapshot generates for all the articles, the distribution is completed, and the tables are in sync. But then after just a few days, the subscriber would not receive the most recent data. Now, the distribution agent shows no available transactions, and there are no undistributed commands. There are two subscribers, but only one is claiming to have problems. I have checked the SQL server logs and the ms subscriptions, and there are no space issues or inactive subscriptions. What is wrong with the ms subscription?

Some fields in a form at MS SQL Server are obtaining values after calculating the form in a default value method e.g. DBLookup.

In this method the values are only getting revised during reopening of the form.

Would appreciate if anyone tell me the way to revise the form without reopen.

Thank you.

There is some research I am carrying out and I am a bit lost. The research is concerning database systems and SQL in specific. I wanted to find out, how can SQL be used to create location transparency in a distributed database?

I want to make tables in InnoDB and non MyISAM. I generally prefer using InnoDB so I don’t have to worry on recovering my tables when it crash or the statements that are partially executed.

I have CMP (Container Managed Persistence) enterprise bean in which my JBoss AS application server can create tables.

I want to know how I can redirect JBoss in creating tables with ENGINE=InnoDB. Can you help me?

I am trying to make a statement using SQL but since I am just a beginner in using this, I cannot get my statement correct. The program I am doing is a Visual Basic 6 database. This is regarding my checkbox component SQL string. The problem is, when choosing one of those checkboxes and selects it; the data will be seen in the data list component.

How can I reference the data list on my SQL checkbox statement?

For instance, I have a database table named as category and it has two fields; (ID(key) and category) and another table named as Class 1 which consist of four fields; (category1, category2 *the two will consist of the IDs from the table Category*, group and class.

I am doing a research about Oracle SQL Developer application. Is this free to download? What are its main functionalities and in which format can it import data, directly into a database? What are the third-party programs than can help me unload data from Oracle?

Please send some links also.

Thank you.

During MS Lync Server 2010 installation for topology builder, I installed MS SQL 2008 R2 on a different machine (member of same domain) and added rights for CDP database creation. It creates an error on database connection, allow port for incoming and outgoing. Result is connection fail.

I tried the same configuration with SQL 2005 SP4 and MS Lync 2010, connection was created successfully.  Can someone tell me the reason why it fails with SQL 2008 R2 connection with MS Lync 2010?
