Many people these days are having problems on converting documents particularly MS-Word.  For now, only Word 2007 has the ability to read documents written in Word 2003 but I want to know if there is a free ad-on that can open a file that was originally made in Word 2003 to open in Word 2007. Or any way that could be reversed.

I’m having trouble with the embedded AutoCAD files in Microsoft Word 2007.  I’m currently using AutoCAD 2008 and it works just fine but when I try to start them up from a Word document by simply clicking on the embedded file I get the following message:

“Microsoft Office Word

The program used to create this object is AutoCAD. That program is not installed on your computer. To edit this object, you must install a program that can open the object.”

I am trying to install  Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2 on my computer and got this error message. I have checked the requirements, and so far I don't see what's causing the error. My current installer is Windows Installer 3.0

(I recently upgraded from Windows Installer 2.0) and I don't think this is the trouble.

Please give suggestions on how to resolve this error.
