I am planning to set up a Wi-Fi connection to my computer, Is 5 GHz Wi-Fi  Better than 2.4 GHz?

My wifi router is placed near the modem and phone line. I want to increase the signal output of my wifi router to reach my room. My room is adjacent and above to the router. Is there a way to do this without costing me much?

My Windows computer has a larger hard drive than my Mac and storage is now a problem, especially my music and video files. I want to hook up my Mac to my Windows PC, so that I can transfer files quickly without hassles.

I am trying to enter a new network but I cannot get access. I have tried changing the IP address to the preferred by the network but am not successful. What could be the problem with my machine? Help because I really need to connect.

What is the BOOTP protocol used for, where might you find it in Windows network infrastructure?

I have a pair of USB Wifi adapters (for notebook) and it would be nice to be connected to the Android tablet. I suppose it would enhance the usability of a tablet when the Wifi signals are weak or distant. So it seems strange to me in the sea for the Android software I can not find anything with those purposes.

Does anyone have some know-how for he WiFi adapters? Thank You

I am a new user of Internet. When I tried to connect on internet via dial-up Internet connection the following message shows:

“An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Network Bridge”.

I do not have any idea why the message shows?

I have Bluetooth facility in my laptop. But I am not using that and its showing on and light is still on. For this reason it always searching Bluetooth devices around it and I am getting less power backup. How I will off my Bluetooth device from my laptop?

I have a Windows XP laptop and everything was working fine before its wireless adapter stopped working and I had to have another one installed. The technician who installed it was able to get the wireless connection working but after a few days, whenever I try to connect to the wireless network, I get an error saying "Windows Cannot Configure this Wireless this Wireless Connection."

What is the suitable protection level for an Internet connected to desktop nowadays? Is it Antivirus, antispyware and antispam? Or is it more/less?
