Networking

Networking

First, I was thinking that it was a connectivity error that I am receiving, but then I figured out that this is not a connectivity error, but it is due to firewall settings.

Well I have disabled Windows own firewall but I have installed a separate firewall, known as Seagate personal firewall.

Unable to contact the server. If a firewall is enabled it must be configured to allow outbound traffic on UDP port 10000..

I don’t know much about how to use it, but still I know how to block sites through it.

Morning dear friends,

I am having problem with my Dial up modem connection.

It was working fine and suddenly it stopped working and gave this error message stating that there is an error in connection.

I thought that my connection might be out of credit, so topped up my connection with the credit and then tried to connect it but again I received the same error.

I am creating a simple web page using an HTML tag. It has many links that are listed at the bottom of the page. I want it not to be underlined when creating links so it will look like an ordinary text. So how can I make a link without being underlined?

Hi,

I have 16 PCs in my working ground. I want to connect them through LAN.

I don’t know anything about networking and PC connections.

What type of wire can I buy.

How to make a cable?

Are there any different patterns on them? Can I personally connect my PC’s?

It will be a great help.

Thanks.

Hi,

My roommate and I share the same connection, via a wireless router. He was letting me see how he can see all the data coming in and out, the messages that I have been sending out through instant messaging were also there, which was ok at the moment.

For secured websites he couldn’t see anything only the IP address. I would like to have some privacy, would that be possible?

How?
