Networking
I have a router used for wireless to laptop and a wired connection for Playstation 3 and the desktop.
At first it worked fine but it would disconnect after around 30 minutes. I tried to contact online support and they suggested me to hard reset the router. I followed all the instructions given; reset the router and set up the connection again and now I wasn’t able to find the wireless connection.
I’ve tried many times to manually add a wireless connection to the laptop but it doesn’t work. Tried for an answer on Google for anything similar to my problem but found no answer. What is the possible solution for my problem?

I am a simple computer user and don’t have enough information about Windows usage.
I am using a PC running Windows XP with service pack 3. I recently purchased one more computer for the use of my children.
We are using a broadband service to access internet on both the systems.
The problem started arising after the purchase of the 2nd system. I am unable to use the internet on both systems at the same time. When both systems are on, one of them shows the following error.
Windows – System Error
A duplicate name exists on the network.

I have a Thompson Wireless N router, which is connected to the main PC and two other laptops in the same room with the ports on the back of the router.
I try to extend my network connection into the router ports Thompson to a main Develo AV Home Plug and then second plug picks up the network and is connected to a second wireless router (Netgear WGR614v9). I'm using two ports of the Netgear router to connect my PlayStation 2 3.

Hi,
I am Robert Sunday and I got a problem with our shared drive.
In the company where I am working, it is just fine to do work from home. So, I am doing work from home every Friday.
I am just a little bit disgusted about my laptop’s access. Whenever I am connecting on our shared drive through our office, it is just fine. But, whenever I do connect on my laptop at home, using Safe word, I always need to do a remapping of our shared drive.
It has been a tired work for me to map it every Friday, and I am sure I have saved it to reconnect to the drive every logon. Please help out.
Regards,
Robert.

I want to expand my network, so I decided to connect another router to my existing router.
My router is a Linksys WRT54G and I bought another router, of the same model. I also bought an RJ45 with a very long cord, which will connect my existing router to my secondary one.
My original router is placed on the 2nd floor of the house, and the secondary will be on the 1st floor.
When I try to connect the two, there is no internet connection available.

I am using HP Pavilion s3380d Slimline PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit Operating System,Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 2 GB DDR3. It has wireless LAN 802. 11b/g. I have D-Link router connected to my modem. But I can't pick any wireless connection when using my HP computer. I tried the following procedures:
I checked on the network and sharing icon on the system tray but no network showed up on the list. Even if I repeatedly refresh the wireless network.
I properly installed the D Link router installation disk again and again on my computer.
I already called my Internet Service Provider and they said there is no problem with my DSL

Hello,
I have Netgear WNR 2000, cable router for VOIP. I constantly get cut off, from speech transmission problems. WNR2000 has no ` DISABLE SIP ALG option, that will help me solve any previous problems on earlier routers.
I need to fix this problem because I'm talking to clients everyday and I don't want to give them a bad impression. In the meantime, I am using my landline to communicate with them. This was working perfectly for a year and I can't figure out how to correct this problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

Cloud computing is getting popular, so I want to try it. However, when I looked on the internet I read this: "Inserting data and applications into a cloud seems very easy, but it's like you’re doing just that literally.
It seems like you’re blindly loading information into a puff of smoke."
Also, just like with loading information into a puff of smoke, security is an issue as well.
Because of the easy access to cloud information, any data of even remotely sensitive nature, would be at risk if put onto a cloud." Is that true?
If someone has experience with cloud computing here, please give me some tips before I pay for something expensive.
Thanks.

I want to setup a domain log in on my own office network with ten computers.
I want to remotely control or access each of those computers.
Do I need to turn off the Antivirus software to remotely access the computer?
I'd like to know also what is the best operating system I can use.
Can I use different Operating System on each computer?
Do I need to use a specific software or hardware to setup domain log in?
Can I access those computers at different locations, like outside the office?
And lastly, do I need high speed Internet do that?
