Networking
My Network is in trouble. I have a CISCO Router and I'm using CISCO router configuration. I have 3 computers and I'm using 192.24.0.0/24 as my Network. My Problem is when I am trying to ping my computer 3, it says "host is unreachable" "request time out". (host IP address is 192.24.0.1) (host 2 IP address is 192.24.0.2) (host 3 IP address is 192.24.0.3).

I planned to realize my small business involving 11 computer units, including the server. The type of my business is internet gaming and savvy. I want to connect all units to the internet, but I don't have an idea in configuring it. I am looking forward to my business and I really need to know what is the ideal configuration.
All other hardware devices and software applications used in my network are already there. As of now, we are using DHCP to connect to the internet automatically. I can't differentiate from Static because I don't have an idea how to use IP addressing. What should be the ideal network configuration to use in my business? Please tell me how to do it.

I am well acquainted with LAN, it means local area network. I have LAN connection in my room so I understand how it works, but I have never used a WAN connection so I have no idea of it. At first please tell me the full meaning of the term WAN and how it is works? How was the connection developed? In LAN connection every PC has a particular IP address and the whole system needs not much care, as it is almost self dependent.
Does WAN works the same way? Do we require an internet connection for WAN? I can't figure out the working principle of WAN. Please someone explain what it is and how it works. The explanation should be as detailed as possible because detailed explanation can help me understand the real things. So be clear with the answer.
Thanks.

Hi,
I am using a Dell Inspiron Laptop but I am having an issue with my wireless connection. The issue is that, my wireless connection does not work properly. Meaning it works sporadically (sometimes it works; sometime it fails to do so).
I am using an Ethernet cable. My SSID shows connected and excellent and also my AT & T service includes an IP, which is constant. I have adopted different ways to overcome this problem but none of them helped me to handle this issue.

I have a laptop and its model is "HP Compaq NC 6000". It does not have WiFi support but is has wireless connectivity.
I get some wireless network signals from my home and I configured them myself. The operating system of the laptop is Windows XP service pack 2.
When I configure the connection, a notification message comes, that I have got connected. But when I try to use the same setting in my browser, the browser can't find any connectivity!!
Can anyone tell me what the probable cause of this problem is? Can you also suggest ways to get connected to the Wireless Network.
Moreover, those servers are not password protected, so there is no basic problems I can find.

Hey experts,
How are you all?
Firstly I want to share you one thing that I don’t have much knowledge about, computer networking. That’s why I am searching for help from here. I had one PC in my room. Recently one of my friends begins to live beside my home. He also has a PC.
I use a Wimax internet modem for my internet connection. It has 1mbps speed. So it is enough speed to share with another PC (512kb/512kb). I want to share my internet connection with my friend, who is living beside my home. But the system to share a connection between two computers is unknown to me. I don’t know if it is possible or not.
If it possible, I have some questions-

Hi,
I guess this probably is like telling a mechanic that my car is not starting and asking him to tell me over the cell/mobile what the problem is or what to do. Here, for unknown reasons all of a sudden my laptop is not connecting to the remote web site.

Hi friends,
I am trying to connect with my other computer by the remote desktop connection, from one of my laptops. The other computer’s operating system is Windows XP media center Edition and my laptop’s operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic edition. I can watch the shared files of the other computer by just typing "\(and the computer name)" into the address bar. So, I am sure that there must be some network between the 2 PC's. But when I type computer name on remote desktop connection, it does not work. I cannot diagnosis the problem. I need help to solve this it. Please anybody help me. Thank you.
