I have checked my Internet connection and is working just fine. Also I tried to make the updates manually and automatically and nothing seems like to work. I just can’t update Microsoft Security Essential. Can anyone help me please to make the updates ? Why I cannot make the updates properly ?

I am having Avast on my desktop and I tried to adjust file system shield settings >auto sandbox to do Avast system restriction. But I could not proceed thereafter. Can anyone tell me further steps to achieve Avast system restriction?
