OS
Hi,
I am a bit confused and mixing the concepts of Critical section, process synchronization & concurrent cooperating processes as these 3 terms are used interchangeably.
I know that there is some difference in between, but I think the implementation solution is the same.
That’s why I am mixing the concept, kindly clear this ambiguity.
I am waiting for the answer of above mention question.
Thanking you.

Hi,
I am an experienced user in Windows
I have installed two operating systems at the same time, and I know how to do it.
But recently, I am thinking about something.
Is it even possible to make two OS bootable on a Pen drive?
Is there any software for that?
If yes, please give me a detailed description, with the link from where I can download that software.
Thanks!

Hi friends,
That's my problem: When I download games, they get on my local drive C: (NTFS). I would like to move by cut and paste to my external hard drive (FAT32), but will not move because FAT32 does not support more than a certain weight.
I would avoid formatting it because, there is too much paper and I could not put them anywhere.
Do I have to format? If so is that I can format it without losing my files?
Thank you.

Hi,
My computers are configured to allow Remote Desktop Connections. I am trying to log on via Remote Desktop Connection to one of my computers. The connection is established and I receive the log in window.
I however cannot log in.
When I fill in the user name and password, I get an error which says that the local policy of this system does not allow interactive you to log on interactively.
I have tried to log on using several different user accounts and I tried logging on from more than one computer on my network, but I keep getting the same error message on all computers. Please solve this.
Thanks!

My sister bought a VAIO laptop at japan, and she brought it in here at Philippines for us to use it.
The OS is Windows 7 (Japanese version).
I bring it to the computer maintenance to convert the laptop to English version. But it doesn't change at all.
Some of the folders are still in Japanese language.
I don't have any idea on how to set it into English language.
The classes of my niece will be start on next week. She needs to use the laptop for her studies.
She can't read Japanese language, and she's not yet familiar with everything in the computer.
Anyone knows how to setup the language?
Hope to hear something from you guys.
Thanks.

Our computer is 4 yrs. used, and it's started to hanged up always. When I'm going to opened the computer, it's very too slow in the startup and the icon doesn't show for 1 – 2 hours. I tried to reformat my computer but the problem is, it's asking for a password. My uncle is the last who reformat our computer, I didn't know that he did set a password. I asked him the password but unfortunately he forgot it.
Guys, is there anyway how to reformat our computer? Even we can't remember the password? I really need to use the computer, our class is started last week. Please need some suggestions, thanks.

For last few days I am getting slow performance in my desktop and OS I have in my pc is XP. I have short knowledge about pc troubleshooting and called one of my friends for help and he is a technical person. He suggests me to stop some software loading at windows startup and uninstall the software which I am not using regularly and he also told me the total process to do it. I have done it as per my friend’s instruction. But I can see a program in the taskbar called windows messenger is still running. I can’t remove or stop it. My friend is not around currently that’s why I need your help.

I have been running Microsoft office 2003 in my notebook and never saw this type of strange looking message.
When I try to open an office document a pop up message saying that windows installer is preparing to install the package.
I have to wait around a minute to open the file. I don’t understand what type of program required installing time and time again to run office program.
I thought it could be the result of corrupted system file and reinstall the office program. But same message does appear again.
What else can I do?
I am going mad about this problem. Are you familiar with the message?
