I have a single database file whose size is approximately 5.9 GB. Its 6 GB along with supporting files. I tried compressing it but it simply taking long time and didn’t had more space left in C drive too. Right now my problem is that, I am able to copy the supporting files which are of small size but not the database file. How to copy big files into pen drive? Is there any limitation on the size of the file that can be copied to pen drive? I formatted the pen drive with full 14 GB available space but still the problem has not bem solved. Thanks a lot.

How to recover the files deleted from pen drive. I had taken no backup but deleted it a absent mind and now I am regretting. I have read many posts online but very scared to try any of them because this might make the recovery option worse. Had anybody earlier extracted data from pen drive or hard disk after deleting it permanently? I also visited a few service centers, they said they can try but it is not guaranteed to extract the data, they might be able to extract some files but the charge they are quoting is too much. It costs my one semester fees. Please help

I doubt that the RAM has gone bad but I might be wrong. I cannot carry the Desktop computer to service centre and hence would like to make my own hands dirty as one step to find the root cause. Whenever I power the PC it simply turns on the fan, some LEDs blink and monitor goes back to sleep again. I am unable to see booting process itself. I could do verify that hard disk is intact by connecting it to other PC in slave mode. What else might have gone wrong? SMPS is okay because mother board is powering up. How to verify RAM?

I have a practice being followed here to stay connected to internet without disconnection. I need to lift the receiver of my home telephone and keep it aside. If I don’t do that, the internet works fine but only till somebody gives a call to the landline. As soon as it starts ringing, the modem shows that link has failed and connects again. But this interruption, though less periodic, makes me unhappy whenever the phone rings. Also, if I list the phone, nobody can call our phone too. Is there any solution to this kind of typical problem faced by me here?

As mentioned above, I have got two working Modems with me here and I would like to know if there is any scope for using two modems in parallel. I want to connect one modem to a Wi-Fi router. Another modem, in a different room but same home will be connected to the desktop computer. Is it possible? I need to buy a wire and a splitter and would like to confirm here myself once before spending money to buy the harness. Have anybody tried this already? Does it work? Doesn’t it create any problem? Thank you for your reply

have one DDR3 1333 MHz RAM and would like to upgrade the size RAM with another memory with 800 MHZ one. The processor is Intel i5 and is 2008 Make. Is there any problem in using the RAM of same size but different clock speed? Will the processor adapt for two different speeds and accept the RAM? Will there be any hardware problem arising because of different speed RAM? Are there settings in BIOS to indicate the size and other properties of RAM such as clock sped, type, Maximum supported frequency etc

I had a computer DVD writer kept aside because it was spare and was unused. Now, I am thinking of using it too along with the existing DVD writer which is presently installed in the desktop. Have anybody tried this way? Can a DVD writer be placed outside on the table with the computer cables coming out if the CPU. I may sound strange but this kind of installation will help me saving space on my table as I can hide CPU somewhere below the table and stop using the installed DVD writer. Any guess? Is it possible? What are the other technical implications?

Hi all, I have managed to run Windows XP on my 64 bit laptop with the help of VMware application. The operation is smooth and fine. The only problem is that the audio is not working. I cannot listen to any music. The laptop speaker is fine because it works when running Windows 8.1 latest OS. Is there a issue with the virtual machine I have created or it is just the minor limitation of VMware, since it is running on a 64 bit machine? Can anybody also suggest some audio drivers which are windows XP compatible?

I am a fan of COM port since 90s. I have seen it all. I have seen how USB took over all keyboard and mouse connections, how PS/2 vanished all together. Floppy disk became history and long ribbons are uncommon to current generation. My typical concern is about COM port. All other interfaces vanished but COM port is still there in apple Mac laptop. I mean why do people still want to use serial port virtually. They use that USB to serial converter. Will COM port exist for further centuries?

There was a accidental password lock and I couldn’t remember the password at all. The only option I got was to erase entire data in it. I opted for that. Now, I could connect it to my Wi-Fi network and successfully synced all my files which were on cloud. Happy about that. But, then I connected it to my laptop to copy the files to kindle and it is not getting detected. The cable is fine because it works with my mobile. Connection happens but it reports unknown device. Tried to talk to Amazon customer care but bottom line is they couldn’t help too. Any help is greatly appreciated.
