Red Hat Linux
Hello,
I have heard that Linux operation is virus protected and I wanted to be sure about that. There are many versions of linux so I want to know if the information is credible and is it okay with each of the versions. Kindly someone help me with the information so that I can make the right decision.

Is it worth it to specially just take Red Hat Linux Certifications?
After all Red Hat is a very popular Linux OS.
Taking an exam orientated to it may be of immense help.

This is my first time to install Red Hat which I only tried the free evaluation version so that I won’t waste anything while I am still learning and getting to know it. I am not knowledgeable about this so please I need anybody’s help. I know I just had to follow the installation prompts like installing it using a DVD and choosing where to save the program files. It just went normal when suddenly I got this error message that says ‘unable to read group information from repositories. This is a problem with the generation tree.’ What does it mean, I’m completely lost in this kind of issue, please tell me how to make this work.

Hi, I have installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux that has VMware GSX Server 3. I don’t have any hardware at home to test the Windows Server 2003. The Virtual Machine will work well, but is there any difference from VMware Workstation with VMware Tools installed on Windows Server 2003. I am not getting good resolution and color with the virtual machine. What do I need to get a better display? My default login is in text format, can I enable graphical login? I have already tried VMware with X server session. I think I am missing something in the process and I have no idea what it is.

I am stuck with an error which I cannot resolve. I hope someone can help me with it. I was trying to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server since I am using VMware software. All directories and drives were fully formatted before the installation but as soon as the installation started, a blue screen along with a dialog box appeared saying that:
The Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server installation tree in that directory does not seem to match your boot media.
Now I am not so sure if this error is because of any invalid directory or due to the installation procedure as it is a virtual installation. Please guide me on how to get rid of this error.
Thanks.

Hi!
I am looking for ideal options I could take after using Red Hat Certified Engineer. I am considering Sun Solaris Scarified System and Cisco but I am not quite sure yet, which one to go for.
I hope you can share with me your ideas.
Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to upgrade Cygwin to 1.7.1 and I’ve encountered a problem during the process. The error message I’m getting is this:
arm-eabi-gcc.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point__ctype_ptr__ could not be located in the dynamic link library cygwin1.dll.
OK
Does anyone have any solutions to this one?
I would be very grateful for any posted comments.
Thanks in advance.
