Hi, a third-party software was installed and infected the computer therefore a display was reported that outcome.  The report could be found in a log file.  The name of the log file was mrt.log in folder of %WINDIR% debug folder.

Is there any MS software tool that could be used to check the operating system and erase any infections?  Anyone could help me to fix this?

I was running True Crypt in-place decryption of a hidden system partition. Then I got an error message:

TrueCrypt does not support in-place decryption of a hidden system partition.

Note: If you want to decrypt the decoy system partition, boot the decoy

My computer is good, nothing seen any problem also its software. It is operating normally and doesn't manifest any signs of attack from viruses, spyware nor malware. Until to the point of opening the command, which I was hard time opening it. It doesn't run anymore. I already opened it manually; nothing goes to open rather than ''2 .dll'' registry files. I check the system through anti-virus system and found nothing. I can't recover it anyway since I don't have recovery disk or installation disk. I need to know how to fix it since it is a very important for me its features of windows. Can someone help me?

I am having problems uninstalling my security software. I tried removing it from control panel, but after I rebooted my computer it’s still there. I am currently using CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2010. I want to remove it because it’s been giving me a lot of problems lately but it seems that I’m unable to do it. When I run "regedit" to execute, a message appears saying that "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"
It is the same for the task manager.

I already solved the problem, but the register closes itself after 2 or 3 seconds and the task manager also.
I tried all the solutions to remedy the problem but nothing since 1 week.

I am getting error while  centrally control a user profile. I need 10 computers to all be logged in at the same time and share a desktop that cannot be changed at the workstation only on the server. I implemented folder redirection using GPOs, but when the profile is synced with the server, the desktop that is on the workstation overrides the sever copy. I thought about using roaming profiles, but I think only one computer would be allowed to login with the user at a time. What about a mandatory profile? Can the same username be logged in multiple times using a mandatory profile?

I am here to share my problem and hoping to get the perfect solution. Recently my HP Pavilion notebook was infected by a dangerous Trojan horse virus and causing many problems. But I was successful to remove the virus by using Kaspersky Anti Virus 11.0.1.400 version and every program was running fine except Internet connection. I am using a wired DSL connection which is running on Windows XP. I have checked the local area connection and it says connected. By checking the LAN properties I have found that data sending is ok but receiving is showing ‘0’. Somebody please help me.

There are several division inside my company that I work for and each division has their own IT policy.
And of the division are using Symantec Backup for backup software from desktop and laptop to the server. I was wondering if there are any other backup software that can be reliable and dependable and cheaper of course.
I was planning to buy a new backup server for it and looking to combine with the backup software for the user to backup their files to the server. Should I stick to Symantec Backup or better to use Windows Backup for it ?
