I was just wandering in a park about the security and tightness of the accounts on the WWW. We all have accounts on different sites like Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter and others but have we ever wondered how and how well are they protected? Are we always safe from cyber criminals and crimes along with frauds? Do we need to sit back, relax and have a donut or should we be too much tensed by the loop holes on todays technology?

I think my anti-virus software is preventing my iPod from being recognized by iTunes. I don't want to remove the anti-virus software for obvious reasons, but is there anything I can do so that I can properly use this? I think there is a way to temporarily disable the anti-virus? Thanks for your help.

Hello! I have always looked at big systems like Google, Facebook etc and always wondered how they store so much data in such an efficient manner. Storing data is jus one aspect, keeping it secure, I think it is more important than anything else. I don't know but I really want to know how Facebook stores all the passwords of their users in a database. I mean their should be some dedicated database or something like that which is fully secured and where all the passwords are stored and retrieved all the time, right? Can someone elaborate more about how Facebook stores and used the passwords of its users?

Hello! Lately I have noticed that there are a lot of files in my computer that I don't use very often but which are still very important to me. I wanted to enhance their security so I was thinking of encryption. Will it help? Which software should I use? People usually say that if you don't know much about encryption its better not to use it, so should I do it? Does encryption compress a file as well?

Hello! I am a Windows 7 user and my anti-virus subscription just expired. For some odd reasons I could not subscribe to the anti-virus again so for that reason my computer kept on displaying this message that I should enhance my security "Your computer might be at risk" I knew that expired anti-virus was of no use and I came across windows defender. It was an older version so I just updated it from the internet and it has been working fine till this date. My question is if windows defender is as good as any other anti-virus, does it protect my computer the same way like the anti-viruses?

I recently got a WD My Cloud and would like to be able to scan it every occasionally. I would like to keep my driver clean by scanning all the items that are downloaded. I use windows 8.1 defender/MSC and have malware bytes installed but disabled so I encounter conflicts. I have mbam pro but it does not offer a network scan option that I know of. Anyone know of a good option that I can keep disabled and just start up when I need it to scan the network drive?

But I don't know how I can set it so every time my computer logs in, it asks for my finger scan before the home screen opens. Can anyone tell me from where I can set that setting in my laptop?
