I know several people who use others' unsecured connections in their neighborhoods to connect to the internet, for example, at a local library, restaurant or using a neighbor's connection.

Can the people or company who are actually paying for the connection have any access to the others' information, such as being able to read e-mails, see passwords, financial transactions, IMs, view or hear Skype conversations, etc.? 

I was discussing this with a neighbor, who said "If they don't know enough to secure their connection with a password, they probably wouldn't know anything about seeing who else is using their connection or what they are doing on it."

But what do you think?

Suppose i am using my account in windows 7 that has administrative privilege. then my friend comes to my room and wants to use it. I surely can't deny him using but i surely don't want him to know my valuable info.

So is there any software that automatically changes the privilege to simple account without administrative privilege or can lock my other hard disk drive for short (for period that my friend is using my laptop) and again deactivate the setting and run with full privilege??

I use the following configurations:  mysql, rapidshare, php, JavaScript, css and html. I am aiming to create a code. What should I use, JavaScript or php to create the codes for these functions?

It would be very helpful for me if the path of the caller could be saved. What I mean is, I want to use the same path that I used when I called, let’s say B.php using Page A so that I can still go back the Page A, easily. I’ve been trying this $_SERVER (‘REQUEST_URI’) function but it will be useful for saving the path of destination.

I’m in an organization that uses Silverlight version 4.0.5 controlled by company’s policy.

We already tried using the trial version of Radcontrols for Silverlight and we find it useful. We didn’t encounter any problem not until we installed the licensed version.

We can no longer use some applications on our web browsers and keeps on downloading the latest version.

What Silverlight version do we need to run with the licensed Radcontrol.

How are you everyone? I am an investor with a team of personnel who would like to outsource some tasks, mainly involving windows, excel, PDF, Docs and other files. However, we would like our server to remain as confidential as possible from our outsourced team. Thus, my team tried using a web-based file hosting service to integrate the server so as to make everything current and supported so that the outsourced group can only have access to what we would like them to work on.
