I am using a vCenter Server 5 with Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

I have local MS SQL 2008 R2 Standard version 10.50.2500.0 installed.

Now I want to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.0U1.when I start the Setup and it detects the installed version.

Right at the end of the process there occurs an error:

Error 25004.Setup failed to create the vCenter Server repository.

The vminst.log is attached.

Please help.

Also I have linked to database with no problems, also ran the report with no troubles.

With the details on display I then choose File | Save As, edit the file name as well as choose the "Save a snapshot with the report" check box and then the application creates error message "Administrator Version has encountered a problem & needs to close. Please tell Microsoft about this problem"

I need to solve this error message. Please help.

I changed the user account settings, and this seemed to solve that little glitch.

I then created a batch file, which has automated that task. So that is OK too.

Is there a way I can stop the files having the locked symbol on them?
