I have Skype installed on my computer, which runs on Windows Vista OS. Whenever I try to sign in, it asks me to install the new  version. So that is what I did. Now I am getting this error message:

"Could not access network location %APPDATA%."

I am using Skype Beta 4 on my Windows 7 PC. I can use Skype for sending and receiving instant messages but I cannot use it when making video calls. It always stops and gives me an error that it stopped working. When I hit the Close program, the Skype screen will quit. And the icon on my taskbar will also quit. I have to restart my computer to open Skype again. And when I tried to run Video Call, the same process happens. What can I do with it? Help me please. Thanks.

Skype has stopped working

When I am doing the automatic updating of the Skype, it gives me an error message.

The error message says that ‘There is an error occurred with the installation of the application.

And it may be due to the problem with the application. The code is 2738.’

The above error is happening with all installations.

Please help me to figure out the problem.

Hi. Have you heard about Evaer video recorder for Skype 1.1.1.26?

I am trying to upgrade but every time I attempt to install the upgrade, there is an error in opening file and leaves me with an option to Abort, Retry or Ignore the error.

How can I fix this?

I am running Windows Vista. Please help.

My Skype software is acting weird for the past few days.

An application error will be shown when shutting down my computer.

The error is relating to a memory issue as shown below.

If I can be able to hit the OK button, the shutdown will continue but if not, I cannot shut down since the Skype is still active. But it happens only when I am using Skype for Video Calling. The problem seems to be getting worse. Now, I am receiving this error from Microsoft Visual Studio stating an Access Violation. How can I fix this?

I would like to know the function of Skype. Is it a free service or do I need to pay anything? What can I do if the people I need to call do not have a Skype account? Will it store the conversation history? My Skype is not recognizing the Internet connection. Please help me to resolve the issue.

My operating system is Windows 7 x64 with Skype 4.2. It was working well for the past months of using the two.

But when I started my Skype today, I got an error that say something about authorizations.

I tried to re-install Skype but only received another error message stating

Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this Version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

I searched on my computer’s application lists and some other options for another version of Skype that is installed on my computer, but I could not locate any.

Guys, just a question here. Whenever I attempt to update Skype to a newer version, it fails, showing the message:

Installing Skype failed; code 1603. A fatal error occurred during installation. 

I have tried to remove Skype via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, but the same error message pops up.

I Have already searched about it online and it seems to be a common problem among others.

It was deleted when I Have done a system reformatting due to virus. When trying to install it again, I received an error code 1638.

The error is stating that there is another version of Skype that is already installed on my computer.

But upon checking, I could not locate any other version of Skype in my PC and also, I just reformatted my system.

What should I do?
