I have a windows 7 Asus CM6870 and I am getting bad intermittent sound. I replaced the sound card adapter from NVDIA GeForce GT 520 to Creative Sound Blaster Z SBX PCIE Gaming Sound Card System Version SB1502 but still have the same problem. I am currently running two screens, a 24” LED and an 18” LCD, which are plugged in the same video adaptor. I have a video on the MOB but have no idea on how to run them both at the same time. I would appreciate any assistance.

I have bought a microphone just yesterday but I don't think that it is working properly. My sound is heard strange when I play the recorded voice on my PC. What might have caused this problem? Is this a problem with he sound card or anything else? How can I fix this problem?

I have installed a PCI sound card on my system but it does not seem to function, I have tried trouble shooting but it still does not work. Instead the sound still is channeled to the internal sound card and i have tried to switch this off but it does not seem to function. How can I channel my sound to the PCI device alone?

I have a Conextant sound card but its specification shows that it supports a 5.1 surround system however when I connected it to my home theater it does not initialize entirely. How can I troubleshoot for this? I want to be able to use my system on my computer and enjoy the sound. Is there something that could be missing?

I have been running a Creative SB X-Fi SB0460 card for awhile but I upgraded Windows yesterday. Now I can not get the computer to see the sound card. Do I need to turn the upgrade back to what I was running. Or is this card not compatible with Windows 8?

I want to use my computer to record our band to upload our music quickly. We are a hard rock band with lots of drums and guitars.  Can we get good sound recorded without a special sound card? What other ways can we record music to record quality with just our computer? 

I added a Sound Blaster Z PCI to my PC last summer with great success. I got the best sound out of it while playing  music and games.  Now the sound will drop out for no reason and I then have to reboot my PC to get it back? Since I upgraded my driver this has been a problem. Can I reverse my driver to the last update or do I need to replace this card?

How do I get the best of my current speakers? I have a Sony Vaio laptop and the inboard sound quality is not great. Which are the best speakers on the market that I can use to get the best sound quality? I currently have Altec Lansing speakers hooked up and I would like to have an opinion of its performance. 

Hi! This is probably the most dramatic experience ever while using a computer or a laptop. Two days ago I was using my laptop and as usual performing different activities simultaneously. So at one instance my sound is working fine and I can hear it properly, the next second its gone. I switched to different songs to check it and the result was same. I also noticed that the light of the speaker on top of my keyboard changed to orange automatically which indicates mute or no sound and obviously it wasn't mute and I checked it too. Why did this happen and what is its solution?
