I have an HP desktop with Windows 2008 that I have been using over the past 2 years. Due to business, I had to be away for a couple of weeks last month. When I got back, I used my computer again and it started making weird noises, sounded like a ticking clock. It takes quite some time to access files and I think some files are even missing. And just a few days ago, I tried to use my computer again but it wouldn't start at all. It just goes to the blue initializing part and stays there forever. I have some important files in that computer. I need to get them but how do I do that when it doesn't even turn on properly?

After a recent mishap in Kamal Electrical Company Limited, one of its directors has suggested that the use of external storage devices should be prohibited altogether. However, the IT manager is of the view that this suggestion is not practical.

How does a single-user and a multi-user disk stripping differ from each other by servicing I/O requests from a single workstation and or several workstations to be sent to a single hard disk or into multiple hard disks.

There are some shortcuts created in some files in this USB but they are not detected as virus, can they be recovered?

And why are they not detected as virus when affected by a virus?

I have a desktop computer on which the Windows version is 98. I tried to install Windows 2000 on it. During installation, installation has been stopped automatically. I shut down the computer and launched the installation again and the installation has been stopped again.

Then I plugged out the cables of the hard drive and my brother installed Windows 2000. After installation, I saw all files on my hard drive have been erased. Why did it happen? Is there any procedure to get my files back?

My driver is divided to three partitions when I send data from any partition to store device I found data destroyed.

I send different types of data image, sound, video and many things all of them are destroyed so please anyone tell me if the problem in hardware or software (I do not have deep freeze).

I am trying to clone my HP Envy 14 hard disk onto an identical 500 GB hard disk with Acronis True Image Home 11. The HP source disk has 3 partitions: one Windows 7, one basic drive & one hidden. I tried to clone it using Acronis Rescue Media as well tried to swap my target drive leaving the source drive on an external connection namely USB. But the result is the same “ Clone failed”.

Is there any solution for it?
