Dear Friends,

I’m using a Compaq Laptop which is three years old. Currently I am getting some problems relating with my hard drive. When I go to access a specific drive or folder such as Movie Folder or Recent Download Folder, it takes too much time while on the address bar it shows something like buffering or index progressing ( OS Vista Home Basic), and even I can’t access the files until this process finished.

I’ve checked the bad sectors, I use scheduled defragmentation software. I even formatted my OS several times but it’s the same problem I am getting all the time.

Is there any suggestion for me? It would be great full.

I have backups that I have saved on one folder, and I compressed it with WINRAR.

Now I have two backups the original and the compressed.

I would like to know is there a way I can add information to my already compressed folder or do I require to make another?

I have confidential information in my computer but my friends use it for their work too. Is there a way that I can provide a password to my folders or just restrict people from accessing my folders? If there is no way to doing that, please avail a better suggestion an how I can hide my folders from other people.

My server which is HP Pro Liant DL380G6, has been experiencing problems with the hard disk. One time I booted it and it gave me the error of input/output. This is an error of bad sectors.

I want to know is there a way I can repair bad sectors, without using an operating system?

I have a 1GB Memory card but card is password protected. Any how I have lost my password.  When I insert my memory card  into the USB port, the same is not shown in My Computer and the memory card doesn't show if it is password protected.

I have tested my card on another PC but no results were found. Have you any idea or tips on how to open my memory card ?
