Storage
I bought a 1TB Western Digital My Book External Hard Drive. I need to format it to become a Mac OS Extended (Journaled), but I am having a problem in doing this. I keep receiving the same error message, "file system verify or repair failed". I found out that it can only format to FAT32, but I need Uni for it to be a Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
I tried to repair the disk and verified the option but I got the same error. I even tried formatting it with 0's (takes hours), but it failed after 7 hours. Can anyone help me format this thing?

Hi! I have a problem. I am unable to format my FLASH DRIVE. What should i do? When I right click on my drive, the format option is set to be DISABLED. It contains virus because the files which are inside are very uncommon, with different characters. Is there any software available for formatting the drives?

HI!
I have brought my new PC. Its RAM is of 3GB and harddisk is of 320GB but still my computer speed is very slow. I regularly defragment my drives. Use C-cleaner to delete garbage.
I also have AVG software(Antivirus) which I update regularly. But still my computer's speed is not improving.
Can anybody guide what other things can I do to make my computer speed fast?

I cannot delete this unnecessary file from my temporary folder. I tried to delete it, but it's not working. I also tried to copy my DVD disk, but still nothing happened.
So what is the main problem here?

Greetings fellow TechyV members,
I have this problem where I often encountered "Ejecting USB Mass Storage Device Error". I have experienced this quite often when I'm using my Portable Hard Disk or any other Storage Devices. I tried to close every program that accesses my Hard Disk, I even tried to use the Task Manager using Ctrl+Alt+Delete and stop all running processes that access my Hard Disk but still it won't eject successfully. So I ran out of patience and just pulled the plug directly. I know that this method is not good but I have no other choice.
I want to ask your advice on what should I do regarding this problem. Is there any special software that I can buy in order to successfully eject my devices every time?

Hi everyone,
This is the worst day of my life.
My first portable hard drive was accidentally dropped on the floor, it fell about at a table's height. I panicked and tried to see if its still working, to my horror, it wasn't.
If there is someone who knows about portable hard disk repair, is there a possibility to still salvage and repair my hard disk? High price is not a problem for me, but the contents of my hard disk were priceless. I'm really hoping someone could give their expert opinion on this matter.
Thank you for reading. Hoping for a quick response from the great Techyv guys out there.

Good day to all,
I need some experts to help me on this. I just bought this new flash drive and it's working fine for the first week. Then I tried to copy some stuff from the flash drive to my computer. But when I tried, it kept saying “Write Protect Error”. How can I fix this thing?

Hi all,
I was updating a device but I got an error message:
Device was not updated. Error Summary: Can’t perform this action because there isn’t enough available space on your computer. Delete some files from your hard disk, then try again. Error Code: C00D1195.
I tried to update it again but got the same response. Here is a picture to better describe my problem.
Please give any advice.

Hi all, I just upgraded RAM on my computer from 2 to 3 GB. I don't know if it's related to the RAM upgrade, but when I restarted my computer, I got an error message from Mozy, then refused to load.
The error message was: "OEM.DLL Not Found".
I tried to reinstall Mozy (latest 1.8.6.21), but got the same response about OEM.DLL.
Can anyone help me?
Here is a picture to better describe my problem.
Thanks in advance.
