Storage

Storage

I have bought a new 1TB Seagate SATA Hard Drive and after physically installing it, my computer cannot detect it. I have attempted to boot my computer with the new drive but it has never detected it. I then tried to re-install the older drive but it could not be seen too. My computer is running Windows 8.1 and has 4GB of RAM. Could it be a hardware issue? Someone explain to me how to solve it please.

I am desperately trying to configure ShareX so that it can work with my cloud storage account on pCloud. However, I recently realized that the problem is that it is not in the list of supported uploaders. I have to add a custom uploader now but I am not sure how it is done. Can someone explain to me how to go about it?

I need to store many files online to avoid losing them. They are many and I need a cloud hosting solution that would not charge me a lot. At present, I am using mega that has 50 GB free storage but I do not know if it is appropriate for storing sensitive information. Should I be worried about the security of my documents? What are the best cloud storage services available today? What kind of features should I look for when seeking for one?

My computer refuses to see my external hard drive. I have tried different USB connections and it does not show up.  I really am worried about losing all my files. Is there a way to get my computer to access this drive? A program that might see it when the operating system won't?

No matter how I try to clean up my temp file directory it has well over five hundred files. I keep removing them and they keep coming back each time. I am careful about not downloading or opening attachments. Any suggestions? Is this a type of spam, malware or being hacked?
