Storage
I have this Seagate External HDD with 500GB capacity. I have used around 450GB on that and when I try to connect it to my computer, it connects in the beginning and opens the window to browse but when I click on any file, it gets disconnected and reconnects automatically. Unable to figure our the exact issue, I need help to back up this data and format the hard disk. I scanned it with avast antivirus and no errors found. Please provide a solution.

Hi everybody,
I am able to create a bootable 16 GB flash drive (USB3.0) by using LiLi. I have used Yumi to create flash drive that is bootable.
But I couldn't make it boot when I connect to the US 3.0 port. When I press F8 it is not showing up as bootable. Even in the BIOS this is not showing up. However, it is booting when I plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Also, If I create a flash drive, USB 2.0 bootable, it is working with USB 3.0 port.
What is wrong with the USB 3.0 flash drive? Why is not being booted and not even showing in the BBS popup? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello,
Recently I upgraded my Sony VAIO SVF1521BGXB laptop from windows 7 to windows 8.1. For that I used Kingston 64 GB USB drive.
I have formatted necessary drivers and files by using this USB. Now I have planned to move some of the movies which are located on USB to laptop Partition Drive D. But unable to copy and showing this error path not exist. What is this error indicated? I never get any type of issue with this USB before. After upgrading I faced this issue.
Is this issue related to USB or Windows 8? Can somebody help me to figure out what is the issue? Thanks a lot guys!

I have an external hard drive installed on my desktop computer and I it won't defrag. It looks like it's skipping files. I used Auslogic's defragger. Is there another defragger that can do it or was it because the files cannot be moved? I'm trying to find a tool that can sort the problem but keep my data at the same time.

I found out that a few of my 64GB micro SD cards were actually 8GB each. Instead of throwing it out, I plan to use the good portion of those cards. Is there a utility I can use to map out or create a dummy file on bad sectors of a flash drive?

My OCZ Agility 3 60gb is plugged in to a SATA 6GB port and I set it to AHCI in the BIOS. I noticed that it's slow and runs more like a SATA 2 so I checked it with CrystalDiskInfo and it says the hard drive is fine. What else could be causing this problem? I need help.

Hi,
I am using the Lenovo Thinkpad T430 laptop with Windows 8 on it. I am trying to burn DVD in this laptop using Windows.
It is taking very long time, but at the end it is failing with error "The disc image didn't burn successfully because an error occurred. (Error code: 0x8007045D)". I have tried using imgburn but it didn't detect my drive. I have removed all 3rd party softwares from my laptop, but no luck.
Is there any problem with my DVD drive? Or Is there any problem with the way I am burning a DVD? Please advice to resolve my problem. Thanks!

Hi everybody,
I am using Seagate 1TB external hard drive from past 2 years and copying the files/folders from my laptop to the external drive. I was clearly maintaining folders and use to copy the files regularly. Today when I have connected and opened it, I couldn't see any files in old folders. Looks like I lost all my data.
Is there any way to recover the data? How can I make sure this will not happen next time? Any help or suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.
