When Sound Juicer is playing on my desktop which is running on Ubuntu, an error message appears. The message is about Appearance Preferences and it says that the composite extension is not available.  Here below is the screenshot of the message for your reference.

When I download some updates on my desktop which is running on Ubuntu and then try to execute the Update Manager to install the updates, some errors occur and an error message appears.  The message says that the system is updated but not all updates of application are installed.  And I am asked to run the partial updates.

Ubuntu setup

The download was interrupted with the error.

I have used widget commands to download Ubuntu full dvd version 11.10 and it’s about 1.5 GB. So far I came to know that the file was downloaded completely. When I go for burning dvd, I can’t do that. I checked my disk with tools (error checking). In the splash file, it got an error.

Can anyone please help me to recover my download?
